According to local news reports, commercial flights were told to avoid the area, because the “object” was flying as low as 20,000 feet.
Reporting from local channel (NBC) 4 in Detroit:
Gen. Glen VanHerck, head of NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, said part of the reason for the repeated shootdowns is a “heightened alert” following a spy balloon from China that appeared in late January, according to reports.
“We have been more closely scrutinizing our airspace at these altitudes, including enhancing our radar, which may at least partly explain the increase,” Melissa Dalton, assistant defense secretary for homeland defense, told the Associated Press.
Call me crazy, but it doesn’t make me feel better to know that the objects could have been floating up there for months without detection by NORAD.
According to reports, the object was shaped like an octagon with strings hanging off it and did not appear to carry anything.
Pentagon officials told the AP on Sunday that they were still trying to determine what the three latest objects were. They said they tried to use the jets’ guns instead of missiles, but it was too difficult.
VanHerck was asked if officials have ruled out aliens or extraterrestrials during a briefing on Sunday. He said officials “haven’t ruled out anything.”

I worked in Intelligence in the military in the Vietnam era. We tracked aircraft over Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia with virtually zero radar stations! We knew every craft up there in that airspace. Who it was, and where it was going. There is a lot of BS put out with this administration that is a crock of BS!!! Classified my rear end! I don’t buy any of this BS of we don’t know what is there, or where it came from! Military is lying through it’s teeth! They know exactly who, when, and where!

B-52’s flew at 55,000 feet dropping bombs on the enemy in Vietnam. When I was over there, no rocket could fly that high with any accuracy. The problem was OUR accuracy in dropping payloads on our enemy, in other words, we were killing civilians. The order was given to drop down to 26,000 ft. to increase our accuracy. That first day, we started to lose our aircraft because rockets were able to hit them at that altitude. So there is the fact that B-52’s flew at the same height as these balloons are flying! I don’t want to get too far into it, but I can say our government is issuing BS! When you see all those contrails(chemtrails) in the sky, think how high up they are!
