Yes, yes! Alaska has beautiful ice sculpture contests in February and March:
https://icealaska.com/ (in Fairbanks)
https://www.iceartpark.com/ (in Anchorage)
Some of the creations are truly breath taking in size and complexity.

Mornin’ All. 22* and foggy here. I think we may see more snow this weekend. But, today my DIL is taking two of the girls to the doctor and she is leaving the oldest with me. Can’t wait!
OMG. There was just a test of the emergency system on TV. Then it said if you DIDN’T SEE THIS TEST, call this number. LOL. I didn’t see it yesterday. Should I call?
Oh, dear, Loki is asleep on my leg again so I can’t to anything. Hope you all are safe.

Been sewing a bit the past couple of days. More than a decade ago I made a kid’s single-bed size quilt top for my older grandson, but never finished it. I got the top done, which looks very much like the one in this photo:
I had it pin basted to the backing and batting, then quit. Now I am finishing it, but increasing the size to a full-bed size. I took everything apart, and now I am embroidering the letters that are all around the edge. Next I will add a border to increase the size (8 or 9″ all around), then sandwich with the new batting and backing. Have to made new backing first; I got the new fabric, which is a red pin dot on white.
I also just ordered a magnifying lamp to use for fine sewing. My eyes aren’t what they used to be!

I’m surprised he still wants it, but he does! He’s quite sentimental.

Good on you, Stella! Always admired those who can do this type of work; I have the skills but not the patience!

I made a quilt for our queen sized bed about 25 yeasts ago, had to rig a frame and figure out how to roll it as I went. Came out really nice. It was a sunrise of stitches with no colors, just muslin. Never had any urge to do it again.

It’s a lot of work! I made a queen size quilt for my daughter. It’s a long story, but the guest book for their wedding was made of cloth pieces put into a binder that people could sign, make pictures etc. using fabric permanent markers. They were put into rail fence blocks. The center of the quilt is an embroidered version of the wedding program cover. It took me
23 years to finish. I machine quilted it, using a quilt frame made of PVC pipe and a sewing table. Here is a photo of the quilt top:LikeLiked by 3 people

My son’s mother-in-law sews quilts, beautiful, wonderfully sewn quilts. I don’t know if she sells them or what. Of course, all the grandchildren have several and my DIL have several beautiful ones.

There are some really great quilters out there! I’m just an occasional one. I wonder if she has a quilting machine? That’s the hardest part to do.

From what I could see, she probably has everything quilting.

Yuck. What makes them think this will work? They can’t even make a decent working vagina.

First thing occurred to me was trade parts with other people transgendering. “He” doesn’t want that uterus, but “she” does.
