My mama had Carl Perkin’s 78 of Blue Suede shoes. I think I may have gotten rid of those old records when we moved.

Good day, Menagerie! That 78 is likely worth a bit of cash.
My oldest nephew has a huge collection of old LPs. He about fainted when I told him I sold my Beatles albums at a yard sale for $1 each when I was readying to move from L.A. LOL!

Oh man, so did I – and a bunch of other moldy goldies….

I got rid of my 45’s a long time ago, but still have all of my old LP’s. Did have some 78’s at one time too.

Mornin Wee and all ya’all! Pinkish-grey sky foreboding our bad weather this afternoon. Wee, did you have any trouble with it yesterday?

Czarina, is your brother doing well?

Exceptionally so! Walking a couple of miles everyday, lungs and heart working better than before the surgery (as promised by the surgeon), and appetite is back. Thanks for asking.

Well, at least, Wee, it wasn’t dressed like those military sick-os who are into dog-mask bondage. Man, how ridiculous and stupid can these braggadocio degenerates be?

Stella’s Place:
A work of collaborative art.
A pleasant moment, a brief stop to contemplate beauty.
In poetry.
In photos of that span the globe.
Good cheer in humor,
A bit of understanding, a spot of clarity in the fog of information.
A gathering place that stitches together the fabric of life.
And makes it all the lovelier.
Thank you Stella, and all the Stellar contributors.
Merry Christmas to you, and Happy Holiday celebrations all the way through!

Afternoon all. I hope everyone is safe and warm. I just saw the weather and all those violent storms across the country. We had some snow last night. I know because the snow plow woke me up before daylight this morning. Then, when I took Loki out it was very lightly snowing and now, hours later, it is coming down even more. I think it is supposed to snow most of the day. It is about 25*. Glad I took care of groceries yesterday.
My friend in Florida heard what happened to her time share in Ormond Beach during the last two hurricanes that hit Florida. All of the rooms facing the ocean were damaged and had water pouring into them for about 17 hours. Just down from that place a building fell into the ocean because the ocean undermined it. So, in a way, she was lucky. That is where we went every spring for a week. Sad. They are fixing it up now.
So, stay safe, and have a nice day.

Glad to hear you and Loki are all tucked in and warm, with lots of food to sustain you!

Good afternoon, aus! We had quite a snow storm overnight. Not sure how much but it looks to be 2 inches deep on my sidewalk. Everything is ice-capped already. Right about now I’m wondering just why I didn’t move to Nevada or Arizona instead…LOL!

Good day, Stella! Yes, modern politicians and sport players have a lot in common. Many really don’t care about their fans or supporters even though they’d despise it if they weren’t noticed or praised or followed. Politicians have pretty much always been that way, but sports “heroes” haven’t.
When I went to games in my young womanhood, the guys came out of the dressing rooms and went directly to the fans, signed autographs, stood about talking until the team bus departed for the airport; or if they were the home team, until their families dragged them away. No bodyguards or security. They all appeared to have a fine time and were happy about their good fortune to make a living off an endeavor they loved.
I had a friend whose brother was a famous baseball player. He was a very friendly type and would leave passes for us when the team was in California somewhere. Their parents lived in Los Angeles and they would frequently have BBQs where friends and neighbors would be invited to meet the team. A very different era.

Bad weather is mostly gone by. We were in five tornado tracks at one time, but all expired with no damage. However, on the NO Westbank (south side of the river) a disturbance turned into a tornado and hit across the exact same place one did in March, tearing up roofs and sheds, moving through heavily populated parts of NO, then crossing the river (again, same as last time) into a neighborhood called Arabi.

Boy, it was ugly up here last night, too. Glad you’re OK!

Glad you had no damage. It’s weird that the tornado would go the same route. I wonder how common that phenomenon is.

This isn’t surprising…and as for the Secret Service, they most likely were involved in the raid on Mar-a-Lago….
Feds in the Shadows: Leaked Documents Indicate over 300 Members of Oath Keepers May Be Current or Former DHS Employees – Not Clear How Many Are Federal Operatives
By Jim Hoft – Published December 13, 2022 at 5:35pm
A leaked list of Oath Keepers members was published on Tuesday at the Project on Government Oversight (POGO) website.
It is not clear how POGO got this list.
The list included current or former employees of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) including members of the Border Patrol, Coast Guard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Secret Service.

The trial of Jeremy Brown came to an end on Monday with the reading of a verdict that was less than desirable, but better than it could have been.
