Lucille, what a day to feature such beautiful pictures from Mexico. Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. One of the most amazing miracles, and the science that is still proving it is fascinating, from the astrology of the constellations on Mary’s clothing to the images in her eyes, to the colors that can’t be matched, and the “paint” that isn’t actually on the tilma.
For years, off and on, I’ve read scientific reports on the tilma of Juan Diego and every time I read something new.
Our Lady put an end to human sacrifice among the Indians. Within 10 years 9 million people had converted.

A few facts about the real St. Nicholas….
The name Santa Claus came from the Dutch name for St Nicholas: Sinter Klaas.
St Nicholas is thought to have been born in the city of Patara, now in Turkey, in AD 270 and died in the nearby town of Myra on December 6, 343.
He became Bishop of Myra, but was jailed by Roman Emperor Diocletian during the persecution of Christians from 303 to 306.
After being freed from jail, he is thought to have attended the Council of Nicaea in 325 at which the date of Christmas was fixed as December 25.

Mornin’ All. We were supposed to get snow last night and it never happened. And, this morning it is sunny and breezy, but no new snow. I have to find my Christmas cards. It is getting late to send them. It seems to take a long time for mail to get in and out of Montana. Well, have fun and stay safe.
