This was from Wednesday night’s no-hitter. Last night was a bit more of a nail-biter. Let’s go, Astros!!! One more for the WIN!

Not to downplay the Astro’s fine victory which brought smiles to all Astro fans…but it inspired me to look up the June 22, 1966 game in which Sandy Koufax won the day over the Astros by 5-2. 1966 was Sandy’s final season before retiring at 30 years of age due to severe arthritis in his elbow.

A whole bunch of us teenage girls had crushes on Sandy after the Dodgers came to Los Angeles. He’s still a great looking old man and will be 87 on December 30.

Even if you’re not a Dodger fan, this is a great story….

      Thanks for indulging me, texan!

I was around when he retired, but was not growing whiskers just yet, so I’ve only seen video or pictures of Koufax doing his thing. Wish I could have seen him in person.

I was fortunate to see him twice. My boss had season tickets and along with my date I was pretty excited to be able to use the tickets and see Sandy. In some photo book I likely still have the pictures we took that day. Not only was it a great game but the stadium was so beautiful in those days. Nowadays it’s pretty much a gang hangout.

Pretty sure the other time I saw Sandy was when I took my Dad who was a big Dodger fan. He and Mom went to the home games many times. We always said that the Dodgers should give them a permanent season pass because the Dodgers never lost a game when they attended. LOL!

Good day to you, Wee! She just will not go away!

Re “election deniers”–Dr. Jordan Peterson mentioned he thinks there’s no legal evidence the election was stolen. He also thinks our REAL President acts like a 10-year old bully, and consistently embellishes and lies. No mention of JRB who actually is a bully, etc. So excuse me, Peterson, you’re a Canadian…stay out of it!

I get so hot under the collar every time something like this comes up. I heard Pompeo say that those two women in GA who said that there was a water pipe break, chased all the counters and everyone out of the building, then pulled out a suitcase of ballots from under a table and started running them through the counters, were just doing their job and there was nothing wrong with it. If I remember correctly, they not only started running the ballots through the machines, but they ran the same stacks over and over again. And, I thought one of them was found guilty. All the other instances have just been brushed off, too.

It’s the Paul Ryan effect. He’s so jealous of the success our REAL President had. I honestly don’t care if people don’t care much for his personality. But to deny President Trump the victories for our nation he brought about despite an onslaught of false charges and lies against him is incredibly vindictive.

Shame on all those elected Republican officials and media pundits who do not do their due diligence on the election theft. And a pox on all the lefties and their ilk who continue their lies and fake news.

Mornin’ All. It is 32* and snowing here. It let up yesterday afternoon, but must have started again in the night. My son said it started snowing last year about the middle of October. I have a feeling it is going to be a long winter.

My neighb0r had cleared off the corner of the grass for Loki again. She went straight to it but stopped when she saw the dog next door looking at her. They both just stared at each other. When I looked back, the dog next door was tied to a post, but he was straining toward their door and kept looking back over his shoulder like he was afraid of Loki. It was strange. He is a doberman.

My granddaughters dressed up like the Ingalls, Little House on the Prairie, girls for Halloween. That is their favorite thing to do. The pictures of them were so cute.

My son and his family’s electricity went out when it first started snowing and came back on that night. It was good that my son had redone their fireplace so it would heat the house better. He said it is working very well. I expect an electric bill today. I have been wondering how much it would go up since it got cold.

Anyway, hope you all are warm and comfortable.

Arose at 4:30 to get ready to drive my brother to a procedure at a hospital in NO. Drove over in the dark (with a stop for a Covid home test $26), 1 1/2 hours. Dropped him off and spent the day with a friend, including a nice lunch in a place with cloth napkins (wooo!)

Now waiting at the hospital on the breezeway, which is very breezy!

Hope and pray everything goes well for your brother. I was going to tell you to stay warm in that breezeway and then I remembered, you are not here, you are down South. LOL. Probably not a problem.

Yup, not a bad breeze at 75*. Brother had an angiogram. He has cardiology appointments next week to discuss what to do next.

I have a stress test and echocardiogram in the near future, and a cardiac calcium test as well.

Good afternoon, czarina! It’s always nice to have an out-of-ordinary day (though hopefully most without hospital visits)…and with cloth napkins, too!!

Good afternoon, aus! That poor doberman. His owners certainly aren’t thinking of his comfort. Can you see whether he at least has a dog house or some type of shelter? He might be a jumper and has run away in the past and that’s why he’s tied up. That kind of behavior indicates he’s being neglected. If he is consistently being kept outside, then you might give some thought to reporting the people after you’ve checked the city laws re animal abuse. It could be a misdemeanor.

No worries, he isn’t left out there for too long. And, it is partly my fault. Remember, I live in an apt. Before I came he just turned the two big dogs out to play and I complained because they ran over to us when Czarina was here and scared us. He still turns them out loose sometimes, but only when he is out there with them.

Did y’all see the latest on the Paulie P “attack”? HE OPENED THE DOOR HIMSELF.

It’s pretty obvious what the situation was. Also, the SF police say they didn’t know whose house they were being called to!!!! Why didn’t the police take charge the minute the door was opened and they saw two guys in skivvies holding a hammer? Maybe they are reluctant to interfere unnecessarily in gay trysts.
