Will check it out, Stella; Gab has its own marketplace and exclusive payment (GabPay), but we haven’t used it yet.
Looking forward to many more ‘grass roots’ alternatives!

Paypal Discovers Trust is a Social Currency Hard to Regain When Lost
Posted: October 9, 2022 by datechguy in business
One of the reasons why the left is so worried about Elon Musk taking over twitter is that censorship of the customer only works if everyone is going along. If there is no well traveled public platform where the word can break out then you can’t control the message (which is why the left took Trump rallies off of TV).
It’s even worse for a business. If you’re business model involves trust, ie the public trusting you with your money, the people need to know that:
Their money will be available when they want it
You won’t steal it
Apparently Paypal’s new “I’m going to take your money if you say or post something we don’t like” policy tends to violate that basic rule.

Read about it yesterday and closed our PP account right away. You can still buy on eBay with cr card; but they’re the same family, so we don’t patronize them.
Killing the Goose…get woke, go broke (evidence Bed Bath Beyond among others).

On the crawler at NewsMax, I noticed PayPal has retracted the policy that is causing such a clamor.

Afternoon All. Just got back from church. It was in the 30’s this morning. Tomorrow morning, I have to put Loki’s little sweater on her. She doesn’t seem to care if it is cold, but that is cool enough to need it. I saw chem trails yesterday and think I saw one or two this morning. Don’t know what they are doing with them. I’m sure it isn’t good.
Guess I will close my paypal account. I don’t leave any money in it, but who knows what they will come up with next. Well, have a nice day anyway.

Why do you call them “chem trails”? Most likely are vapor trails, common with jets, and there’s an Air Force Base near Great Falls.

Likely the air is colder over Kalispell than Florida!

At altitude the temps are pretty much the same. Very cold.

The standard temperature for 30,000 feet is -44.5C or -48F (Source: meteorologytraining.tpub.com/14269/css/14269_75.htm).

More at link:
There are limits on the minimum temperature for fuel, oil or hydraulic fluid. If the airplane can be kept in a hangar prior to flight, it can operate in very, very cold conditions. Airplanes fly in minus 56 celsius (-69 degrees Fahrenheit) or colder conditions at altitude, therefore if the fluids can be kept warm, the airplane can usually operate.

Chem trails is like the Bermuda Triangle; an old conspiracy that says all the airlines collude with the gov’t to spray some substance on everybody. Any though about that would suggest that vapor trails are much more likely.

Vapor trails disperse pretty rapidly. These don’t. And, Bill Gates has said he was spreading chemicals.

No, contrails do not necessarily disperse rapidly because they are ice crystals, rather than vapor. It is VERY cold at altitude, no matter whether you are in Florida or in Montana. As explained in a Quora article (I’ve see it elsewhere too):
Contrails are simply cirrus clouds that form in the wake of, and whose formation is triggered by aircraft exhaust. Like any cirrus cloud, their persistence is determined by the prevailing weather conditions at altitude. If the air is simply saturated with respect to ice, they will quickly dissipate, lasting only a couple of minutes, but where the atmosphere is supersaturated, they will persist and grow as long as the conditions remain propitious. This can be anything between tens of minutes, to hours, or even days. A persistent contrail will often spread due to wind shear and can either dissipate, or become indistinguishable from any other non-aircraft induced cirrus. However long a persistent contrail lasts though, most of the time, it won’t be visible to you, as they are often carried on high speed winds and can be many miles away from where they originally formed before dissipating. A casual observer may often imagine that a contrail they see above them, is the same one that they saw an hour earlier, but as scheduled flights following similar flight paths may cross a region every five minutes and there may be even more flights crossing that same region at different altitudes over the same period, it’s more likely that they’re seeing different contrails each time they look up.

I used to see these in Florida, often in crosshatch patterns. They took a long time to disperse.

FL teen bodyslams School Resource Officer (School Cop). This should terrify any school administrator out there who thinks the PoPo they hire is gonna keep these thugs in check. I wouldn’t hire one under 6′ and about 220#. Think what this thug would have done to a petite 5’2″ 119# female officer.

NYNY high-rollers show how corruption really works. Two at the top (Mayor and School Superintendent) hire each other’s GF at high-paying gigs, and skate around the nepotism thing.
