That’s some serious shooting. Just think how far torpedo distance in WWII was. That was in a relatively known current in the open seas. On top of that, the curvature of the earth comes into play. And we watch as field goal kickers pick up grass and watch the drop, LOL! At 4.4 miles, one would be elevated I would think, no? Still, one helluva lot of effort to accomplish! A couple years ago a Canadian sniper shooter had a kill at some amazing distance, if I recall.

Mornin’ all ya’all! 92* today, low 80’s to high 70’s the rest of the week!!!! Yaaaaaay! Possibly rain from the western side of the hurricane coming to the north Gulf later in the week. Have a friend fishing on the lake today who promised he’d look out for the alligator.

Mornin’ All. High 40’s and very sunny here this morning. I actually uncovered a corner of my desk in the extra room yesterday and emptied a couple more boxes. My life as I know it for now. LOL So, I will see how much I can get done today.
Keep praying for those people who will be affected by the hurricane. Hope you all have nice weather.

Latest report on Hurricane Ian from NYT: “On Tuesday, Ian is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico, follow a course west of the Florida Keys late on Tuesday, and approach the west coast of Florida on Wednesday.
“The surge vulnerability along the west coast of Florida is very extreme,” Jamie Rhome, the acting director of the National Hurricane Center, said in a briefing on Sunday. “I’m telling you, it doesn’t take an onshore or direct hit from a hurricane to pile up the water.”
Some Florida communities began to issue evacuation orders or signal they might be ahead. Hillsborough County, which includes Tampa, ordered people in low-lying areas along the shore and rivers as well as all mobile homes in the county to evacuate starting at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Manatee County, south of Tampa on Florida’s west coast, also issued an evacuation order effective Tuesday morning. Many public offices will be closed from Tuesday until further notice.”

A group of Oath Keepers, including leader Stewart Rhodes, will be forced to go to trial prematurely this week after numerous attempts by their attorneys to push their trial until January and outside of Washington DC.
The presiding Judge Amit Mehta denied their motions for Change of Venue and Continuance.
This is what they have been waiting for – a seditious conspiracy conviction to “prove” January 6th was an “insurrection” and tie it all to Trump – to prevent him from running again and even to possible use to arrest him.

Too bad Julian Assange couldn’t have made it to the Russian embassy. This is the latest on him…apparently the London High Court hasn’t decided what to do yet, but I hope they decide not to allow his extradition seeing as he’d probably get the J6 detainee treatment by the Bidenhandler….
