Love this Wee!
Glad you made it through the big storm band and tornadoes. My cousins in Birmingham had lots of rain, but both their houses are intact, thank goodness. Prayers answered.

Mornin’ Wee, everyone. The storm did move in sometime in the night. I can’t tell if it is raining unless it is really coming down hard. But, about 6:30 there was a very bright flash of light and a quick boom. Then a couple more loud claps of thunder and it seemed to be over. Supposed to go to a lunch seminar today. Only I just found out yesterday that it is for people who own their homes. My friend does, but I don’t know what that means for me. More later. So much for the news today. Hope everyone stays safe.

Mornin’ all ya’all! Today is National One Cent Day. Czar collected coins and stamps. I recently found a couple of rolls of pennies with all the same year date on them, e.g. 1967. Seems they are still worth one cent….

Morning All 🙂
Here is what looks like the cousin to Stella’s poor little bluebirds huddled up in a (light, hopefully soon melted) spring snow. This is a White Winged Fairy Wren
Have a great day everyone! Have to run now. Lots to do today! 😉

Frisky heifers!
Wonder how Zurich Mike is doing these days. Haven’t seen a comment from him in ages.

Mike made a comment on the Tree on March 17, but nothing here recently.

Back in 1961, I helped out on a dairy farm, (and IIRC, it was 2 more weeks in VT before we let the cows out to pasture). When we did, they acted just like those Swiss cows. They were so tired of being cooped up in the barn; they literally danced on the fresh grass. And all the calves born during the winter would run around like young colts.

That’s how I used to feel in spring, too!! 😉

I don’t think I ever felt that way until I was in my 50’s and we had moved up to Upstate NY in the middle of winter. Spring was such a surprise and delight.

When I got stationed at St Albans AFS, we had a gap-filler radar at Blue Mountain Lake in way up northern NT state. When I was called to go there (it was unattended), we’d drive for hours to get there and then the farmer would hitch up his team and we’d proceed by sleigh. Later, he got a Snow Cat, so it took way less time to get to the site. Talk about deep snow!
