“Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys,” O’Rourke famously wrote in 1991. He later described the presidency of Barack Obama as “the Carter administration in better sweaters.”

PJ and I were born the same year. I remember the world he grew up and grew old in. Too young to die is all I can say.

I listened to most of this, but I didn’t know anything about what they were talking about. I didn’t know who P.J. O’Rourke was before he died. And, I didn’t know about the other things they talked about.
