Mornin’ All.
This is a start of a difficult day. My friend has a friend who was her neighbor for 20 years. They became close friends. The other lady was diagnosed a few years ago with cancer and she moved closer to the hospital. She has been taking the treatments as the cancer became metastisized and the treatments got worse. As one cancer was cleared, another one would show up. But, it seems the worst is the cancer in her brain. They had to put a halo frame on her and screw it into her head and then give her radiation. It never got better and she just continued going downhill. She was having this done weekly and often she would have to sit in a room with the halo on waiting her turn for up to 5 hrs. It sounded like nothing but pure torture to me. So, this morning I told my friend that I would ride with her to visit this woman who is now in hospice and not expected to live more than a few days. I just hope the daughter hasn’t waited to long to have my friend come.
I won’t go in with her because this woman has refused to have anything to do with me because I voted for Trump. Oh, one thing we found out was, this woman was born in Russia, and was in Moscow when Chernobyl happened. We have to wonder if there was a connection.
Well, hope you all have a better day.

It went well. I waited in the car while she went inside and visited. Afterwards, I suggested we stop at Cracker Barrel for lunch. I figure it would help her unwind a little, and it worked, I think. I found out her friend is an atheist. My friend said she was in hospice, but she is still having that awful brain treatment. I have had her in my prayers each night, but I think I will add a little to those prayers. She needs more than healing her body.

You are a woman of great compassion Aus. And a very good friend.
I’ll join you in your prayers for this woman, that she might choose a greater hope through Christ.

Mornin’ all. Our Favorite Sunday Columnist takes on the libs in CA and why they continue to have “droughts”. Hint………….it isn’t always because of a lack of rain. I’ll put the coffee on shortly.

I lived in Southern California back in the late 60’s, early 70’s. I hated it there. Hot summer, Santa Ana winds blowing the hot air out of the desert, causing everything to dry out. A stray cigarette thrown from a car window, caused wildfire. Then in winter it would rain long and hard causing landslides that were very destructive. And between all of this fun, earthquakes would shake things up and loosen some more stuff for the next go around. It happened every year I was there, and so glad to leave!
I reckon NE Georgia is one of the nicest places I ever lived. Scotland was good, and I liked Northern Idaho as well. I’m now only 35 miles from where I was born. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s fairly close! GO DAWGS!
Woof!

Coffee’s on. Enjoy. Word is that Sloe-Joe might be throwin’ down another lock-down this week. That should be fun.

Grey, cold, damp, windy here. Perfect for more dismal news that shots, masks, distancing, school closures, event cancellations and public shaming do not work.

Afternoon All!
Busy day today – overnight snow turned to rain then froze – sigh – 275 foot driveway for DH & I to clean.
Apple dutch baby to go with coffee
or apple brandy hot toddies to go with that
Snow & cold I’m OK with, not the ice, so it’s back outside.
See you tomorrow God willing
have a great day!
