Morning Wee! It’s freezing here. I mean really freezing, not just by southern standards!

Mornin’ Menage. It was supposed to get us, too – but 37* again this a.m.

It was 60* when I got up this morning. I got up late by the way. I can live with this freezing weather. LOIL

Mornin’ Wee. Snowing here. I don’t think we are getting much. Maybe a half inch or so.

39* when I got up, here in the Virginia Blue Ridge, now up to 50’s. Quite pleasant.
When we called out at night my mother came and laid down beside us til we fell asleep. I don’t remember ever going to my parents’ room.

Happy Sunday! This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad. Even though it is currently 32 degrees and frost lies heavy on the grass. We took a ride up Sand Mountain yesterday to get some fresh sausage and bacon. We were surprised at how green the grass still was, but I’m sure that will be changing soon.
We also had a drive out to our old hometown in north Georgia to see all the flags. The little town covers all the roads in crosses and flags, the big flags, with names of those from the town who have fallen in all our wars. Sadly, there were considerably more crosses added, I’m guessing they have been able to raise money for crosses for those who died in the Middle East. Anyhow, we always like to drive up and down the familiar roads and remember, and appreciate those who fell, and the town who remembers them. It takes a huge effort to put all those crosses and flags out. The courthouse lawn is covered with them, and they fly along both sides of just about every round in town.

The neighborhood we live in now, right on the very edge of the city, hugging the river between several mountains, also puts out crosses and flags. They are very small in comparison to the ones in the picture above, but I like living in a place that remembers. Somehow we managed to choose both times without knowing they did it.

Excellent work by Clarice.
I have been watching the trial and I also read the Twitter opinions of the idiots. It is clear that none of them watched the trial. They believe that Kyle carried his AR-15 across state lines; he didn’t. They also apparently don’t know that Kyle worked in Kenosha, and that both his father and grandmother live there; it’s a second home to him.
One guy asked ” Why did he and his parents go there armed.” Kyle’s parents were not there, so I don’t know where he got that idea.
It is also not illegal for him to own an AR-15. He WAS using it unsupervised outside of a gun range or hunting area, so he is apparently guilty of a misdemeanor.
I guess we will see how he does with the jury. If they can’t reach a not guilty verdict, I hope that it ends in a mistrial.

Mornin’ All. Went to the SPCA Dinner last night. People were dressed to the nines. One woman donated about $150,000. My friend didn’t donate anywhere near that much, but she was mentioned as one of their biggest donors. Anyway, we sat at a table with some young women, who seemed about 21 but were probably older than that. They were pretty funny and we enjoyed them. We had a valet service and the guy who took my car was over 6 ft. I am only 5’3″. When he brought it back, I put on my seatbelt and tried to put my foot on the gas and even with my toe pointed couldn’t even reach it. I had to move the seat way up. He probably couldn’t get in the car without moving it back. Ha, ha.
Hope everyone up north enjoys their day. Stay warm.

Information is slowly getting out. This from the CDC will not play well with Brain Freeze Biden’s “mandate”. A whole lot more folks are estimated to have natural immunity. A court will probably take that into account.
