   One still cannot help but wonder how much of the concrete was tofu concrete from China.
   The Miami Herald reports the 80s were the decade for lax regulations and permissive building codes, rectified with the arrival of Andrew.

   The 80s were when China was our “friend,” and everyone was beginning to make bookoo bucks from the CCP.

   We’ll never know, of course. Mendacity seems to be de rigueur these days.

     And yet at least a couple of the buildings found to be unsafe this past week were built much more recently. I don’t have the answers, and I suspect there is more than one issue.
