And rain it is! But what am I reporting…I live in the tropics. At least it is cool this morning, 75* to be exact. And the sky is a light grey, not ominous. Some of the concrete back porch has dried out. I won’t have to water the plants today because we got 1/2″ rain yesterday on top of the .2″ the day before and 4″ the day before that, etc. The grass is getting high and has gone to seed because I cannot mow when the ground is so soggy the mower sinks in and (occasionally, thank you) gets stuck.

Another thing I’ve observed is that they are so empathetic. There are vids of disasters which they react to, and yesterday I watched one on the very latest technology in farming with remote controlled vehicles. The disasters were as though they were right in the scene encouraging people to run or get out of the way and bemoaning the fate of those caught up in volcano eruptions and space rocket failures. The farm machinery they viewed as the wave of the future and it was a good thing but on the other hand they felt sorry for those who would then have no work…but overall they concluded the technology would bring about more foods being planted and less backbreaking work being done.

The older man and the man probably in his early 30s (in this vid he’s dressed in a long white tunic), have backgrounds–or at least their families do–of farming. The older man got quite emotional and almost hyperventilating, thinking of how hard his grandfather worked his farm for so little result, that he had to leave the filming.

Love all three, but I’m partial to Raeen, the one in his 30s. He’s quite intelligent and works as a tailor. You can almost see his mind clicking and storing information. With a proper education I think he would have been successful in many fields.

        Good men all.

Well summer has arrived, yep, and the days are getting shorter! Sounds like an oxymoron, no?

I have thought deeply about this many times, and have not worked out why this is! I am, however, grateful for the cooler days before and after summer.

Mornin’ All. I find it amazing that one day at 78* is unbearably hot and humid. Then, the next day at 78* is breezy and comfortable. I can’t use the word “cool” because it isn’t that “not hot”. LOL But, it is very pleasant. A little later I have to pick up my friend who is having a procedure done in a doctor’s office. They aren’t putting her under, but she is afraid she might be a little too shook up to drive right away. Probably true. So, l have to watch my time this morning. Well, hope everyone has a nice day. Try not to let mold grow on your north side, Czarina. LOL

I’m just back from Walmart I have to tell you this, I was behind a grandfather and his badly-behaved grandson. He has his hands full with the child screaming for sweets, biscuits, all sorts of things.
The granddad is saying in a controlled voice: “Easy, William, we won’t be long . . . easy boy.”
Another outburst and I heard the granddad calmly say : “It’s okay William. Just a couple more minutes and we’ll be out of here. Hang in there, boy.”
At the checkout the little horror is throwing items out of the trolley. Granddad says again in a controlled voice : “William, William, relax buddy, don’t get upset. We’ll be home in five minutes, stay cool William.”
Well, i was really impressed, so i went outside to where the grandfather is loading his groceries and the boy into the car. I said to the Grandad “It’s none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don’t know how you did it. That whole time you kept your composure, and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. William is very lucky to have you as his granddad.”
“Thanks,” said the Granddad. “But I am William. The little shits name is Kevin.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When we ask ourselves, is their no level too low for the left to leave alone and not completely destroy, or corrupt? The answer is no. They are now going after “bird names”. I sh*t you not.
