Good morning everyone. Hope your week is off to a good start.

Here’s an article by an author I always read when I run across her stuff. Not too many left that I can say that about now. Picture what grace from the Lord feels like.

Beautiful, Menagerie! Lots of food for thought there and very worth reading and studying. Thanks!

God’s grace and mercy cause us to look at the “forever” and not just the daily doings of our lives and culture. God desires that we partake in heavenly pursuits. And the more closely we follow Him, the more we wish to perform the “forever” tasks of loving and caring for others. The God who says He IS love, inspires us TO love for He has created us in His image.

I went to biblegateway.com and looked up Ephesians 2:1-10. “The Voice” version literally left me breathless at this passage’s profundity…

“As for you, don’t you remember how you used to just exist? Corpses, dead in life, buried by transgressions, wandering the course of this perverse world. You were the offspring of the prince of the power of air—oh, how he owned you, just as he still controls those living in disobedience. I’m not talking about the outsiders alone; we were all guilty of falling headlong for the persuasive passions of this world; we all have had our fill of indulging the flesh and mind, obeying impulses to follow perverse thoughts motivated by dark powers. As a result, our natural inclinations led us to be children of wrath, just like the rest of humankind.

“But God, with the unfathomable richness of His love and mercy focused on us, united us with the Anointed One and infused our lifeless souls with life—even though we were buried under mountains of sin—and saved us by His grace. He raised us up with Him and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King. He did this for a reason: so that for all eternity we will stand as a living testimony to the incredible riches of His grace and kindness that He freely gives to us by uniting us with Jesus the Anointed. For it’s by God’s grace that you have been saved. You receive it through faith. It was not our plan or our effort. It is God’s gift, pure and simple. You didn’t earn it, not one of us did, so don’t go around bragging that you must have done something amazing. For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago.”

      God bless!

Mornin’ everyone. Sunny here. It’s gonna be another hot day. I ran my errands yesterday and then had lunch with my friend. I also had the pleasure of buying lunch for a cop who came in to the restaurant. I’m seeing fewer and fewer masks. Most of the mask signs have disappeared from the doors of businesses. The office at my apartment complex is still closed and you have to make an appt. to see anyone and they come out to see you with a mask on. I’m watching for that to change.

If you have a Gab account, I got a notice that they had a security breach and that you should change your password. Probably why my email account was used for spamming (I changed that password too).

Firearm Confiscation Checked by Supreme Court
The justices protected the Fourth and Second Amendments from so-called “community caretaking” laws.

The U.S. Supreme Court just issued a unanimous decision on a case that could have reverberating impact on the Fourth and Second Amendments. On Monday, all nine justices agreed to overturn a First Circuit Court of Appeals ruling against Rhode Island resident Edward Caniglia, who contended that his Fourth Amendment rights were violated when law enforcement officers who were administering a welfare check elected to search his home and confiscate his firearms without a warrant.

Nance is pushing the commission. You’d think she’d be real cautious seeing as she initially turned down the use of the National Guard to quell the outburst and apparently the Capitol Police invited a lot of folks into the building. But she’s probably got language prohibiting bringing any of that out…and certainly will prohibit naming the killer of Ashlie Babbitt. Nance loves wasting time and money…must be in her genes.

Kevin McCarthy to Oppose Bipartisan Legislation to Form January 6 Commission
By Reagan McCarthy – Posted: May 18, 2021 10:05 AM

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced on Tuesday that he will not support the bipartisan legislation to create a commission to investigate the January 6 riot at the Capitol. Republican Rep. John Katko (R-NY) negotiated a deal with Democrat leadership, but McCarthy said that the legislation was formed through a “shortsighted scope.”

Just had the most delicious dinner. Bison delmonico steak cooked medium rare, roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli. I got the bison steak on sale, and if you get an opportunity to buy bison I highly recommend it. Much lower in calories, fat and carbohydrates, but packed with flavor.

Got a mailing from Planned Parenthood today begging for money. Their slogan is “Stand With Planned Parenthood”. I scratched that out on their letter and printed, “I DO NOT” …. There was a bumper sticker (which I also modified) and I pasted pennies to weigh down the “no postage required” return envelope to the back of the bumper sticker and sent the whole thing back to them.

Well, the day started out with light rain, which stopped by 11, sun came out so I did some mowing, clouded up and rained harder, but now is back to light rain. Czarevich took the ATV to the repair shop, and picked up a lottery ticket for tonight’s drawing.

Looking to continue reading a book I’ve been working on. Czarevich and I will have three bean salad with sausages, French bread, and perhaps fruit for dessert. Or maybe chocolate fudge brownies. Currently have Fat Freddie the 16# cat in my lap. Everyone else is napping.
