Daylight Savings Time Begins …

When I was still working, and had to be at my desk at 8:00 am, this was my least favorite day of the year. Now I don’t care, but I know some of you do so,

at 2:00 am on Sunday, March 14, 2021 (also PI day!)

Now is also a good time to:

• Schedule your air conditioner Clean & Check
• Change your furnace filter.
• Put new batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
• Replace the batteries in your thermostat

I had to be at work at 6:30AM, but now that I am retired I don’t give a Hoot. But then again it never really bothered me that I lost an hour, I gained another hour off daylight at night and that to me was worth it all.

For some reason I can’t explain, the Springing Forward never seemed to bothered me much, but the Fall Back always has. I definitely think they should end it.

With the Fall Back, I felt like you were always in darkness, at least for me. I drove to work in the dark and came home in the dark. Very depressing.

In the Fall when we fell back, it started getting dark about 6:00 or 6:30 and that made me feel like it was time to put on my jammies. It always felt weird.
