Happy Friday, kids! We made it to the end of another week. Since we may be going without electricity soon as solar and wind is working so well, I found a pretty cowboy coffee pot for us to try, No age provided on this, but we will have backup ready if needed. Carpe somethin’, y’all!

This is totally unacceptable. Even as I get older, some of the fun with jalapeno’s has always been which one will light me up, and now growers are “breeding” the heat out of them. Sacrilege.

Mornin’ All. It is in the 40*’s today. The sky is clear blue and the sun is hot. Another beautiful day here in the far Northwest. LOL

I am meeting a lady from the church for lunch today. She is very interesting and has such a sweet disposition. I will be glad to get to know her better. So, that is my big excitement for today.

Hope you all have power and stay safe.

Good morning! It’s a nice day today (between rainy days) – highs in the 60’s with sun and clouds. All the plants and trees (including the grass) are booming!

As an aside, I drove down to my local branch (NFCU) which about 17 miles one-way, only to find the space empty and a notice (about 10X10 inches), which said they had moved. The notice was so small that one had to get out of one’s vehicle to read it. WHY? Anyway, the notice said that their new address was 2607 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd.

Of course, if one doesn’t know where on GTB Blvd that is – like which side of the street – between cross streets, etc. the numerical address is of no help. No notice was given to regulars customers.

I had to call in to Customer service, which is located somewhere in the USA, and try to get someone familiar with the area, to help me determine where the new location is. Finally, some went to google maps and found that the new location is on the western side of Rt19 on on the right side of GTB. About 6 miles up GTB Blvd.

Sorry for the rant, but NFCU could certainly have thought their move out better.

So, I found NFCU on GtB. I has no handicap parking, and all the parking spaces are across the street, so it’s about 40 feet to the closest pot and over 75 feet to where I had to park.

When I mentioned that to the teller, she said they have no control of the parking lot. When I said that there was no mention of the move online, she said that if one typed in the address, it would show the new location. I asked why would anyone type in the address w/o knowing there was a move coming up? She then said they could send out any notice of the move, because they have thousands of clients, all across the country and they had no way to know which patrons used the branch. At that point, I concluded my business and departed.

From my backyard. Not as bright IRL, but still an awesome, wonderful experience.
