    Stellars….

    Moose in Winter: As I was walking down the street in Fairbanks, Alaska, these two moose came out of the bushes and started walking toward me. I was scared as one was a calf, a large calf, but momma was still protecting it. Shaking, I took a step back and snapped a picture. I was very happy when they turned around and went into some trees. – Katherine Plessner, Verona, North Dakota

    LUKA SULIC – Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” – Taped Live on June 5, 2019 with the Orchestra della Fondazione Teatro Lirico “Giuseppe Verdi” di Trieste. The teatro (theater) was built in 1801 and is quite magnificent.

    Luka is the first cellist to arrange and record the entire composition for that instrument. A segment of the evening’s review read: “The first part of the concert was entirely dedicated to “The Four Seasons”: competence, determination, passion and a deep and indisputable knowledge of the instrument characterizes the performance of the musician.” (Translated from Italian.)

    Imagine looking out from the stage at a full house for the first time…mighty impressive….

    …the incredible ceiling….

    …and the exterior is very grand….

    I’m used to the traditional attitude of the classical music audience…that of not clapping at all until a performance is completed. But when an orchestra has to pause for movement breaks, it’s dead air on tape. However, I don’t think I’d want to be the lone applauder at the breaks and be thought of as a rube who should be glared at. LOL!

      Lucille, love those compositions that evoke imagery! We had the LP that I used to do homework to. Another, even more favorite of that type is ‘The New World Symphony’ by Dvorak. Loved imagining the mule train going down those steep trails at the Grand Canyon – and, of course, his orchestral treatment of the Negro spiritual, ‘Goin’ Home.’ Beautiful!

        When I was in middle school (so many years ago), we performed “Goin’ Home’ for a regional choral competition. Beautiful piece.

        The True Story of “GOIN’ HOME”
        From Bohemia To Boston
        http://www.americanmusicpreservation.com/GoinHome.htm

        Goin’ home, goin’ home, I’m a goin’ home;
        Quiet-like, some still day, I’m jes’ goin’ home.
        It’s not far, jes’ close by,
        Through an open door;
        Work all done, care laid by,
        Goin’ to fear no more.
        Mother’s there ‘spectin’ me,
        Father’s waitin’ too;
        Lots o’ folk gather’d there,
        All the friends I knew,
        All the friends I knew.
        Home, I’m goin’ home!

        Nothin lost, all’s gain,
        No more fret nor pain,
        No more stumblin’ on the way,
        No more longin’ for the day,
        Goin’ to roam no more!
        Mornin’ star lights the way,
        Res’less dream all done;
        Shadows gone, break o’ day,
        Real life jes’ begun.
        There’s no break, there’s no end,
        Jes’ a livin’ on;
        Wide awake, with a smile
        Goin’ on and on.

        Goin’ home, goin’ home, I’m jes’ goin’ home,
        goin’ home, goin’ home, goin’ home!

    Every one of Trump’s people who were not directly working for him should have done the same thing as this woman and not resigned when SloeJoe came into office. Make them fire you, and it will get covered in the media. Our side continues to roll over and take it in the shorts. The other side doesn’t.

    Mornin’ All. Cool 60*, windy and sunny. I hope it doesn’t stay like this for the next two weeks. Sat. we go to Ormond Beach. It is always windy on the beach and for some reason, the 11th week of the year always has a cool spell. Weird, huh! Well, the pool is outside but the jacuzzi is inside. 🙂 Wish you could all be there, too. 🙂

      Cool here, moving to the high 60’s today. Goin’ to Gulfport to plant some bushes and help our renter hang pics, put in shelves and install a cat door into the garage. Have one pink azalea on a bush in the back yard, with promise of more next week, and the Admiral Semmes yellow azaleas are about to burst forth.

    Good morning everyone. Slept until 7 this morning. Those kids wore me out yesterday. Had 7 of the 8 grandkids at one time or another yesterday, and we had a great time.

    Sunshine is out, and if the wind isn’t up, it should be another excellent outdoorsy day.

    Here is an update to what’s going on about the Windham voting audit:

    “BIG NEWS! The “Windham Incident” AGREEMENT! – Thank You NH SOS Bill Gardner!
    by Ken Eyring / 6 March 2021 ”

    ”All four of the Windham, NH AccuVote voting machines and ballots will be forensically analyzed by a team of forensic analysts. One forensic analyst will be chosen from each of the two groups below to perform a full forensic analysis.
    a. Harry Hursti, Ron Rivest or Andrew Appel (Picked by the Secretary)
    b. Col. Phil Waldron, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai (The SOS will allow me to choose)
    Jovan Hutton Pulitzer will be asked to be a member of the forensic team.

    The forensic analysts will determine, in their own discretion, the process that will be followed for the forensic analysis. The NH Secretary of State and the town of Windham will provide the forensic analysts with whatever resources the analysts deem necessary to perform a complete and thorough forensic analysis, including but not limited to, full access to the Windham AccuVote machines and all of the ballots from the Windham, NH November 3, 2020 election. The custody of Windham’s AccuVote machines will remain with Windham Town Officials.

    The forensic team will produce a report of their findings and present it to the Secretary of State, who will make it available to the public forthwith.

    2. All of the the Windham, NH ballots from the November 3, 2020 election will be tallied through each of Windham’s four AccuVote machines. The paper tapes from all four machines will show the results for all races, be compared with each other, and be included in the forensic report.

    3. A hand count will be performed by the NH Secretary of State on two races other than the Rockingham County District 7 State Rep race.”

    For the complete coverage of this please go to GraniteGrok.com at the top of the page and click on the MicroGrok for Windham. All of the reports are there.

    I would also like to say how individuals can make a difference when working together towards a goal. It started with one brave, soft-spoken citizen (Ken) who then was joined by a small group of other brave souls (Tom, Sen Guida, Dr Strang). PLEASE PRAY for these people and all those involved in this endeavor. I am seriously asking for your prayers for them. Thank you.

    BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Early Indications Are That Ballots Found Shredded in Maricopa County Dumpster Are Completed Ballots from the 2020 Election
    By Joe Hoft – Published March 7, 2021 at 10:40am

    What a mess the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (MCBOS) have gotten themselves into. After refusing to provide ballots to the Arizona Senate for months, as soon as the judge ordered the MCBOS to hand them over, shredded ballots are found in a dumpster.

    We reported yesterday on how shredded ballots were found in a dumpster in Maricopa county…

    While I ate tonight, I watched a Rawhide episode. Rip Torn played a half-breed Indian chief. I never realized how handsome he was when he was young. I just remembered him when he was older.

      Was Clint Eastwood still in the series at the time this episode was made? He played Rowdy and had a huge female following even then.

      Also, Did you know that Rip Torn and Sissy Spacek are first cousins? Her father and his mother are Spaceks.

      If you’ve not seen it, check out “Sweet Bird of Youth” where Rip Torn plays the brother of Paul Newman’s young-love interest. The woman who plays Newman’s current “love” interest, Geraldine Page, married Torn shortly after they made the film. Fabulous cast, first rate acting all around, and great script based on a Tennessee Williams play. One of my favorite films.

        Clint Eastwood was in the whole Rawhide series . It was the guy who played Gil Favor, the trail boss who left the series the year before it ended. And, yes, I had a crush on Rowdy along with all the other girls. LOL

        I can’t remember Sweet Bird of Youth. I will have to check it out.

        You know, it is funny. I always thought that Clint Eastwood left the series before it ended, too. It must have been because he was not in a few of the shows. They said he was off scouting, or something. After Gil Favor left, Rowdy became the trail boss.

          Yeah, I had in my mind that he left after a couple of seasons. I just looked it up and he was season episodes 1-7 and left before the 8th, the final season..

          Be aware that “Sweet Bird of Youth” is sort of sad as most of Tennessee Williams plays are. But it’s very worth viewing anyway just because the acting is so superb. A number of the cast were also in the Broadway play.
