Wow. This was really good. I often get lost in the flight conversations, but this made it very clear what happened. I didn’t realize they went all the way to Hawaii, or was that where they left from? How did I miss that detail? Anyway, amazing to think they didn’t even know what had happened until the other guy came back with the video of the engine. 😯

They were about 200 miles from Hawaii (en route from San Francisco) when the engine blew, I think.
