Good morning, Lucille, and thank you so much for these daily images. I come here first every day for these and Stella’s. God bless!

I love your beautiful outdoor winter photos Lucille, I take some outside winter photos myself, but I really would like to be sitting in that big chair near the fireplace with my feet up! 😉

Good morning, G&C! When we were kids we called the sky shown in the bottom photo, a mackerel sky. It’s not quite as dense as this photo…

…but I think it still is a cirrocumulus (had to look up the official term..LOL!).
Yes, fireplaces are so enticing. I know many folks were wishing they had one during the Texas crisis.

I’d not heard the ditty before. So I looked it up and found this interesting article from a navigation website…
“Mackerel Sky” Posted January 17, 2017
‘Mackerel sky, mackerel sky – never long wet, never long dry.’
However, if you want to work out whether it is a change for better or worse then we need to know the difference between the two types of cloud that can create a mackerel sky: altocumulus and cirrocumulus.

…and, of course, I got carried away and found some more photos…

Lucille, admit it–you’re susceptible to rabbit holes, aren’t you? I surely am. Takes me half an hour to look up a word in the dictionary. There’s always so many fascinating words nearby!

It’s compulsive, Tundra. I used to love going to libraries with all the card catalog cabinets. In college I was preparing to write on the American Civil War and got stuck in the Mathew Brady photography section. Hours later I hadn’t even finished taking notes for what I wanted to write on. Brady’s work is so first rate, it’s still the envy of photojournalists. He also took the photo of Lincoln which is on our $5 bill.

Heartbreakingly awful…this man was ill-served by a SJW judge and what must have been incompetent representation….
Black Man Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison for Arguing With BLM Racists
Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 – by Daniel Greenfield
I wrote about Manny Wilder’s case last year. The case unfortunately got very little attention. And now he’s being sent to prison for 3 years at a time when actual violent criminals are barely being arrested, and getting a slap on the wrist for violent offenses.

When the Kyle Rittenhouse trial starts he’d better have the best attorneys out there because the corrupt system will do to him just as they did to this young man.
LikeLiked by 2 people
I think he has a pretty good team now, and a good judge. The prosecutor is an SOB though.

That’s great re his having good legal representation and a fair judge. If the prosecutor is another SJW type, lies and half-truths will be the order of the day. Hopefully the defense was able to get all the video evidence available as it sounds like the prosecution is a “withhold evidence” cadre.

Here is an article about the latest in the Rittenhouse case. Robert Barnes has joined his legal team, and he talked about this in the last Barnes/Frei video I posted.

Mornin’ All. The temps here dropped last night. We are now in the 50’s. People here are complaining about Winter and saying they can’t wait for it to be over. 🙄 I talked to a friend last night who said her husband started taking Previcid because he was having trouble with his memory. He got really cranky, unhappy, and difficult. He finally stopped the Previcid and he went back to his normal self. Stay warm friends.

Okay, sorry folks. It must have been Prevagin. Obviously, I need to take something myself.

Oh Mom! You and some number of the rest of us as well! I’m now starting on an exercise binge before my physical in March hoping it will reduce cholesterol, move lymphatic fluid, and get that blood up to my brain! Hahaha! 😉

I found something that lowered my blood pressure and cholesterol! It’s called Moringa Leaf. I get it from a website called “A Healthy Leaf”. It’s not very expensive, and my DR. was so surprised! It said on the bottle to take 4 capsules a day. 2 does the job. In 12 years it’s the first time my blood pressure was perfect at the Dr’s office.

Good afternoon, aus! We’re at 33 degrees but it truly feels much colder with all the snow piled up everywhere.
Sometimes I think pharmaceutical companies are just experimenting on all of us and haven’t run trials properly to discover the side effects of drugs. The Wuhan vaccine is a case in point. No way was there enough time to do proper studies. Who knows what kind of zombies they are creating even though we’re assured every day that it is sooooo safe. I hope I’m totally wrong and that it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

As far as the COVID vaccine goes, I can’t see getting it when I have a 94.5% chance of surviving the disease itself. And, especially when so many doctors around the world are warning against it. Besides, I already had it a year ago for sure and should have the antibodies.
LikeLiked by 3 people
Precisely right, Lucille. I am not an anti-vaxer by any means. I believe wholeheartedly in vaccinations, especially for childhood illnesses. But my husband and I (71 & 69) will not be taking the Wuhan flu vaccines. They have not been studied anywhere near adequately. Side effects appear to be massive and wide spread and efficacy is quite questionable. And for a disease with a 99.97% recovery rate, and 95% in our age group, the risk/benefit analysis does not support it..
There was an excellent article in American Thinker a few days ago, by a physician with whom I agree completely:

Hi (Waving) Sunny is good! 🙂
It’s going to be 40 up here in a few days which is too warm for this time of year for NH. When it’s too warm in the winter the trees and plants start to blossom, then they freeze and die when it gets cold again. Some never come back.
I’m guessing in the 40’s in OK is more normal for your area this time of year, so that’s great for you! 😉

“25* here…….well, beats the hell outta 3*, I guess….”
Yup! it most certainly does! 25* is a coat maybe open if no breeze, & closed if with a breeze. 3* is coat closed, hat, gloves, and a – gasp – mask for warmth if windy!
After my layering suggestions yesterday, and it being Caturday today I realized being all layered up with a blanket wrapped over everything you may look like this kitty who at least CAN turn on the heat if he wants:
😉 Keep warm!

G’mornin’ all, 17 degrees and sunny so it feels much warmer. Amazing the difference some sunshine makes.

It really does. My Mom used to go outside (NOT in winter) and sit in the car in the sunshine from time to time because it was extra warm, and when hot it made her sinuses feel better.
It is amazing how after a big snow storm it is so bright after the storm pulls all the clouds away with it and the ground is all white – time for sunglasses – no snow blindness!

For winter themed art we have “The Snow Queen” by Hans Christian Anderson illustrated by Edmund Dulac. Here are 3 different book covers:
Edmund Dulac (born Edmond Dulac; October 22, 1882 – May 25, 1953) was a French-born, British naturalised magazine illustrator, book illustrator and stamp designer. Born in Toulouse he studied law but later turned to the study of art at the École des Beaux-Arts. ~ wiki
An interesting article about Dulac and the timing of his arrival in London and how it related to the method of reproducing color plates is at https://www.bpib.com/illustrat/dulac.htm along with more of his beautiful illustrations. He is one of my favorite artists. For some reason his illustrations lend themselves so very well to fairy tales.
Have a great day everyone 😉

I finally remembered the artist with similar style – it was Michael Hague! He had a lot of books and calendars in the 1980’s and 90’s. His style was very much like Dulac who died in 1953. Here is a photo of a cookie tin with his Snow Queen illustration on the cover. There were a set of 4 of these tins with different illustrations. I had the set. I think I gave it away when I had to move and downsize. 😦

These libs are getting more creative by the day. Now they want “sleep reparations”. I’m thinking the world is about to end, because I’m not sure I want to see how much crazier things can get.

Make a suggestion to them that they buy a My Pillow from Mike Lindell. I bought mine years ago before most people knew who he was and before he became involved in politics. It’s a great pillow. I’m sure it will help them sleep. It worked wonders for me and my injured back and neck, especially after my being exhausted from decades of overwork, working 2 jobs while paying for college and helping my family. Of course when I include their theory I should add the fatigue of my ancestors who worked like dogs for genrations and suffered through mustard gassing in WW1.

Hahahahahaha! The number of people who showed up to greet THE Kamala Harris as she was driven to her Brentwood residence on Saturday…

Soooo vey popular! When she becomes President in the not-too-distant-future, maybe she’ll get four or five ignorant folks to wave at her motorcade…or perhaps a few more if they pay her demented supporters a couple hundred apiece out of the funds she was instrumental in acquiring for Antifa and BLM criminals’ bail.

That is horrifying. Makes you wonder about the maintenance, doesn’t it. I read a book about a similar situation. They lost one engine and it knocked a hole in the side of the plane and a woman was sucked out. The pilot, Tammy Jo Shultz wrote a book about the experience of landing the plane under the circumstances. The title of the book is Nerves of Steel. It was a good read.
