Indeed, LET GOD ARISE! I don’t remember who said “Let every heartbeat be a prayer” but it certainly applies to what we are and will be going through even if a true miracle from God occurs and our President remains in office.

I’ve been thinking about this portion of Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:43-48. Some have called the Sermon “The hard words of Jesus.”

It’s impossible to live up to the words, causing us to realize that we must rely on Christ for everything. When we believe in Him and His sacrificial death for each human being who ever lived or will ever live, our Triune God sees us as individuals through the blood of Jesus which covers us and makes us righteous in His eyes.

I’m having a real hard time praying for our enemies, which means that I must do it all the more. Besides which I have to pray that I will even feel like praying. Father, forgive me and cause me to be faithful to the commands of Jesus.

      Matthew 5:43-48 (The Passion Translation)
      Love Your Enemies
43 “Your ancestors have also been taught ‘Love your neighbors[a]and hate the one who hates you.’ 44 However, I say to you, love your enemy, bless the one who curses you, do something wonderful for the one who hates you,[b] and respond to the very ones who persecute you by praying for them. 45 For that will reveal your identity as children of your heavenly Father. He is kind to all by bringing the sunrise to warm and rainfall to refresh whether a person does what is good or evil. 46 What reward do you deserve if you only love the loveable? Don’t even the tax collectors[c] do that? 47 How are you any different from others if you limit your kindness[d] only to your friends? Don’t even the ungodly[e] do that? 48 Since you are children of a perfect Father in heaven, you are to be perfect[f] like him.”

      Footnotes

      (a) Matthew 5:43 The Aramaic is “your relatives.” This phrase is found in the Torah; the following phrase is from oral tradition. See Lev. 19:18.
      (b) Matthew 5:44 As translated from the Aramaic. The previous two clauses are not found in some reliable Greek manuscripts.
      (c) Matthew 5:46 The Hebrew Matthew is “transgressors.”
      (d) Matthew 5:47 Or “ask for the peace of your brothers” (Hebrew Matthew and Aramaic).
      (e) Matthew 5:47 Or “gentiles” (who worship other gods).
      (f) Matthew 5:48 The Greek and Aramaic words for “perfect” can also mean “whole, complete, fully mature, lacking nothing, all-inclusive, well rounded.”

    I love great winter photography….

This link with some great photos is to the blog of a young woman in Minnesota whose family was our friend/neighbor during our 18 years there.

    http://comebestill.blogspot.com/

She and her dear sister (both unclaimed blessings, as my dad would say…..single in their thirties) each had their own thriving businesses 10+ years ago, until they were stricken with Lyme disease – had to give up their businesses, are pretty much homebound, living very, very limited lives how–but they just shifted gears and found different ways to live fully. I learn so much from just following their blog….knowing the details of their young lives and their present lives. They are living in grace and surely living their BEST lives even now. I find good encouragement in their sharing.

Dear young women. Love the photo with the cat sitting on the porch rail. Just makes you wonder what kitties are thinking when they sit so calmly and silently. Thanks, Sharon!

Mornin’ All. Very chilly here. Can’t tell what the temp is because my digital thermometer died the other day. Let me put it this way, I had to wear a coat for our walk this morning. Still haven’t turned on the heat……….except for a day last month when I turned it on to get that burning dust smell out of it for when I needed it later. Guess I need to get some breakfast. Later, Gator. Still praying for Czar.

Morning, aus! We’re at 36 degrees right now heading to 37…LOL! Overcast but supposed to see a bit of sun at some point…but maybe the sun part passed already before I opened the shades.

I’ve had the heater turned on almost 24/7 since the beginning of November. First time I’ve ever in my life had the heat on at night. Previously merely another blanket or a thicker down comforter have been added to the bedding.

Hope your usual sun peeks through brilliantly for you today!

It has been slightly overcast this morning, but it is beaming bright right now. So the livingroom is warm and it will be pretty comfortable tonight.

I and my then little boy were put on a no-fly list shortly after the 9/11 attacks. Why? My father had just passed away. We were flying back home from his funeral. The only clean shirt I had left was sporting Old Glory. The flag of the United States of America put both of us on a no-fly list.

Twitter is the Enemy of the People

    https://thefederalist.com/2021/01/09/twitter-is-the-enemy-of-the-american-people/

…They claim this is needed to protect America from a coup. That is a farcical lie. They did it because their political enemies such as Trump and Sen. Josh Hawley are now out of power, and they mean to keep it way.

As a private company, Twitter is free to do as it pleases. And I am free to call them what they are: a shill for communist China that seeks the destruction of America.

Do you doubt that? Then explain why Iran can call for Jews to be killed on Twitter’s platform and China can spread propaganda about how rounding up Uyghur men and forced sterilization of Uyghur women is actually good, but Donald Trump can’t tweet. It is evil. And anyone defending Jack Dorsey’s death machine is complicit…

Wow, how true is this!!!! “Feckless Democrats and faux conservatives applaud or look the other way at Twitter’s actions because it serves their purposes; the poor, blind fools have no idea that they will be next.” David Marcus makes a direct hit!

As the article posted by WeeWeed says: “There are probably very few in Washington that are asking, ‘How could this happen?’ They undoubtedly have no sense of inner self.”

Twitter Jack and his sycophantic employees who sent the letter demanding President Trump be removed from the site truly have no sense of self awareness, no sense whatsoever of how they are aiding and abetting the nation’s destruction…even the nation they think they want with all the PC nonsense in place…will not come to pass. Communism just doesn’t work that way. This is actually because they believe like all fanatical and self-righteous traitors that they are never the problem but the solution.

I can never get used to how much they hate us.

Question: Remember when the USSR fell and we thought communism would play no major part in world history again? Wow, zero prescience.

VATICAN CITY (ChurchMilitant.com) – Pope Francis launched a video promoting religious indifferentism on the eve of Epiphany — the feast on which the Church proclaims Jesus as the light of God’s definitive revelation to people of all nations and religions.

Instead of a call to evangelize people of other religions, the pontiff is asking Catholics to unite in prayer as “brothers and sisters” with people worshipping other deities.

In the video issued by the “Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network,” Francis states that our “brothers and sisters” are those “who pray,” regardless of religious beliefs.

The pope’s video opens with a Catholic woman praying the Rosary. It swiftly switches to a Muslim woman with a hijab prostrating on her prayer mat and offering prayer to Allah. It then zooms in on a young Jew wearing a kippah and ṭallit and in the act of prayer.

“When we pray to God following Jesus, we come together as brothers and sisters with those who pray according to other cultures, other traditions and other beliefs,” Francis declares in a voiceover.
