President Donald Trump Calls For Protest in DC on Jan 6., Says ‘Be There, Will Be Wild’
By Cassandra Fairbanks – Published December 19, 2020 at 1:53am

In a 1:42 AM tweet on Saturday, President Donald Trump promoted a “big protest” in DC against the election fraud that appears to have taken place in November.

President Trump included a link to a Washington Examiner story about Peter Navarro’s 36-page report alleging election fraud that was “more than sufficient” to swing the victory.

Let’s pray for him. Being new and thinking he’s his own man he’ll probably be surprised at the effort Mitch will put in to “persuade” him out of that decision. We’ll see what he’s made of if he continues on with his plan to take his Oath of Office seriously.

Good afternoon, tblakney! So far, so good on the day. I’m pledging to keep up spirits, pray, and support our President in his 24/7 attempts to right the wrong of this awful potential outcome for the 2020 election. No man within our memory has worked harder for the American people against so many odds and so much hatred. God bless him!

Mornin’ all. I will type a line here if I can quit sneezing. Not sick. Just a morning ritual. It is so cold here, I had to wear sweat pants and a fleece jacket on our walk. It was in the 40’s, but the sun is out and the temps will go up fast. Hope that storm that went thru yesterday didn’t cause any problems for whoever was in the path of it.

I swear, every day there is some new strange news out. On Tucker Carlson last night I heard that “they” whoever they are, want to give the vaccines first to blacks and not the elderly. I think “they” are the same people who are in favor of killing the babies. 😡

Good morning, aus! We’re at 42 degrees with rain to start around 5:00 PM through the night. Glad it won’t be raining when my groceries are delivered this morning.

But I would love to have this kind of rain…”Pennies From Heaven”…

“Every time it rains, it rains
      Pennies from Heaven
Don’t you know each cloud contains
      Pennies from Heaven.”

On a nice evening in August 1936, music was playing on a London radio station with charming Al Bowlly singing “Pennies From Heaven” and Monia Liter, ordinarily Bowlly’s pianist, is now also conducting the Ace of Hearts Orchestra for this totally danceable number. Imagine being in the club in your finest evening gown and gliding around the room in the arms of an attractive formally dressed date…”So when you hear it thunder, don’t run under a tree. There’ll be pennies from heaven for you and me.”

This song just makes me smile.

The imagery of an attractive dancing couple is most enticing. Though if I were dancing with Al Bowlly and had high heels on, I’d be taller than him, I still get the feeling it’d be fun and that he’d be a great dancer.

Al led himself quite an interesting life even though his career had its ups and downs. Although I’d heard his name before just in passing, I listened to/viewed his “Melancholy Baby” a while back and found him adorable, which English and other ladies all over Europe, India, southern Africa also did. And then discovering that his life was cut short when he died during a German air raid on London…well, that just made me a goner. I’ve been listening to every song I can find on YouTube. Since he recorded over 1,000 songs, I’ve got a ways to go.

Amazon Kindle has an interesting cookbook for 1.99. It’s called Think Like a Chef: A Cookbook by Tom Colicchio.

From the description: With Think Like a Chef, Tom Colicchio has created a new kind of cookbook. Rather than list a series of restaurant recipes, he uses simple steps to deconstruct a chef’s creative process, making it easily available to any home cook.

He starts with techniques: What’s roasting, for example, and how do you do it in the oven or on top of the stove? He also gets you comfortable with braising, sautéing, and making stocks and sauces. Next he introduces simple “ingredients” — roasted tomatoes, say, or braised artichokes — and tells you how to use them in a variety of ways. So those easy roasted tomatoes may be turned into anything from a vinaigrette to a caramelized tomato tart, with many delicious options in between.

It goes on to describe how he teaches you to combine them. Sounds educational and interesting.

This is not a run-of-the-meal election fraud piece. The author takes current events fully into account and then delves into the historical and Scriptural business of “authority that is instituted by God” — I think it is really sound, well done.

I appreciate his very bottom-line conclusion very much – a Latin phrase with the meaning, “The Chair is Empty”.

I went to his blog and left a comment thanking him, which I seldom do. I don’t post at AT any more. The process has too many problems as far as I’m concerned.

Got a good report from my son this afternoon. He was shopping in Oregon City/Damascus, OR area with stops at Hobby Lobby and Fred Meyer (a big chain grocery/housewares stores).

He said as he came in the door, he noticed someone without a mask, so decided to check out the possibilities. Took his mask off and stuck it in his pocket. Went about his shopping for the normal amount of time. He said he directly engaged with 6-7 different employees and not one of them reacted to him being maskless. Same thing when he was checking out via the self-checkout and the oversight person had to help with some coupons. Face to face conversation and no comment.

He was pleasantly startled by the whole thing. Made a mental note to have a one-liner ready for future encounters along the lines of a casual smile and an encouraging, “Nice to see you have your face on!” or something like that.

At the least, it sounds like Fred Meyer mgmt has told their employees it’s not worth fighting about any more??? Maybe folks are taking a hint from Washington State freedom-lovers? Dunno.

Had email exchange with a friend in SoCal today. She said all the small businesses are locked down tight, and the large stores/shopping centers are absolutely jammed with customers wall-to-wall. Said she doesn’t believe the stats any more. At all.

She said that Lancaster (their high desert town – the Antelope Valley) is in the process of trying to get free of the Los Angeles County Health Department because of all the problems it is causing. Maybe there are some freedom-minded people involved with that effort. I don’t know any more than her brief report.

Regardless of how the details play out, none of us will ever forget what they have done to our nation and to millions of small business owners. Never forget. They need to be punished. Seriously.
