New Orleans is having a murder spree giving it body counts in the streets that the city hasn’t seen in years. This is despite the lockdowns and the mayor actually furloughing police to meet budget goals.

So you’d think she’d be on to this at her presser today, trying to set the city’s mind at ease that the rampant thugs were on her radar and she was going to launch a campaign to take back the streets, eh? Uhhhhh…no…instead she breathed fire and indignation over a spontaneous Christian music gathering that was held this weekend on the fringe of Quarter. NOPD even blocked off the street when it flowed into it (estimated 400 people) and provided security until it was over.

It appeared to be of little interest to city hall until it hit social media, many of the participants were not masked and that flew in the face of her ‘mandatory masking’policy. That’s despite the news showing videos of people inside of the Quarter partying sans masks…leading some to think that the reason NOPD didn’t ticket the non-mask-wearers at the music gathering was they’ve been told to lay of ticketing for masks in the quarter so as not to hurt business. NOPD said the reason the did what they did for the permitless gathering was they were folloewing the mayor’s procedures she put in place when the antifa and Take-‘Em’-Down permitless and ‘spontaneous’; demonstrations were occurring. Opps.

Just another NOLA screwup, bidnez az usuh-ul, or as it’s know round these parts – Monday.

The Left is nothing if not hypocritically consistent.

Who is winning NO or Little Lebanon on the Lake ?

Team Lori Lightfoot stands at 46 shot this weekend with 6 fatalities.

On a related note. I went to Trump’s Waukesha rally, mostly unmasked, I went to an outdoor wedding on Halloween, no masks, went to a birthday party on November 1st, no masks.

      Spend time with friends.

I go for walks, out for dinner, out for tea, shopping.

Had a beautiful friend from out of state fly on an airplane and come spend some time with me.

      I go to work.

But because of my concern for my country and my activity online in all things politic, a concerned liberal in my life (who has basically sheltered in place since the Chinese virus hit) told me that I should take Alex Trebek’s death as a reminder to live life in its fullest cause ya’ never know when you’ll wake up dead 🧐.

Hmmm….I thought that is what I’m doing.

Full disclosure I may have Covid so I’ve been home for 5 days straight go for a test tomorrow. So far it is very mild, I hope I have it and get it over with.

      Life is a risk.

That Czarina I really don’t feel that bad but I am acting out of an abundance of caution, the cough and low grade fever are keeping me away from others. The last thing I want to do is infect someone who is vulnerable. Doc said test which of course makes sense. More tired than normal but that can be attributed to inactivity.

Studies in the NIH database I dug up early on, backed by other medical trials during the SARS-1, show that a curcumin product called Meriva goes a long way to preventing the damaging cytokine storms that make the COVID so bad. Another study also showed that piperine vastly increases the curcumin’s absorption. Czarina and I have been taking it before I ran across the reports – I’ve been using it for arthritis an inflammation – and it greatly helps my creaky joints.

At least one hospital has been giving 500mg vitamin C (2 times daily), 5K D3 (once daily) and 250 mg zinc (twice daily) to its COVID patients. I’ve been taking zinc since I came across two foreign studies early on about zinc’s effectiveness (one of the Chinese…hmmmmm), one of my docs put me on 5K of D3 well over a year ago and C’s been on the menu for a long time. Interesting how these studies have be extant for, in most cases years, yet we’re told the ONLY way to deal with the virus is by wearing a mask and washing your hands.

I’m taking C, D, E, Zinc and Querecitin with Bromelain, been taking all of it for months. I’ll see if one of my friends can pick me up Meriva or Pipervine anywhere. My friend wanted to get me drinking elderberry tea (Ackk) but after running around they couldn’t find it in stock anywhere around here right now.

I know it can be serious, my good friend lost her sister (pre-existing conditions, obesity, diabetes and a smoker). One of my best friends lost her brother, he was in his late 70’s and didn’t want to go to the doctor, had underlying health issues including smoking, he didn’t go to the doctor until it was way too late. My other friend’s husband may not make it, he has had two liver transplants and other health issues. He is up and down.

The vast majority of people I know have weathered it without much of a problem.

I don’t have any underlying health issues, (don’t even know if I have it yet) and if the Chinese virus wasn’t a thing I likely would have gone to work today. Plus I have Von Willenbrand’s disease which is in this case a blessing because I’m so thin blooded.

Thanks to you and Czarina for your concern and thoughts it really is appreciated.

Okay, I am absolutely positive I had it back in Dec/Jan. Problem was I just felt tired, like really, really tired all the time which is highly unusual for me and I had a cough. I had flown to see my family and figured it was being on the plane because I always cough when confined with people because I am sensitive to goodness knows what.

What I want to tell you is, when you feel better don’t jump back in. I think I made it drag on and on because I would seem okay and then it would come back.

My Daughter called me today sounding like crap, and announced she had tested positive and had been sick for a few days. She thinks she got it where she works. Poor baby, said Grandgirl has it too, but at least she gets paid, Daughter doesn’t. I think DH and I had it in January. Evil crap!

I hope we all manage to get through this, but it’s really bad news for folk who have other things wrong with them.

Mornin’ all. I would complain about the cold weather…………………..only, we don’t have any. It is a warm, humid day and very comfortable at 77*. Funny, in the middle of the summer that is pretty hot and now it is comfortable. Can’t explain. I have to admit, I do miss the snow………………just not the snow shoveling.

Everybody enjoy your day. Remember it is a new one.

BREAKING: Top DOJ Official Overseeing Voter Fraud Quits After AG Barr Authorizes Federal Prosecutors to Pursue “Substantial Allegations” of Voting Irregularities Before 2020 Election is Certified”

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/11/breaking-top-doj-official-overseeing-voter-fraud-quits-ag-barr-authorizes-federal-prosecutors-pursue-substantial-allegations-voting-irregularities-2020-election/

It seems to me that people are arguing about the wrong thing here.

    Conservatives ; “Substantial Allegations”

Liberals ; “Allegations are not evidence”

    Both are correct.

What is legally significant is that Barr has effectively stopped nefarious certification of votes. That is Yuuuge!

This was written by one of my cousins on Facebook (he has a full-time day job, and runs a sheep farm on the side):

I can’t speak for anyone but myself. My stance is that the 150% increase in mail in voting, in many cases unrequested absentee voting is a major shift from previous elections.

My day job is to write software to make real world processes more controllable and auditable at at very large auto manufacturer. I look at a major change in process and have to evaluate the process for its ability to stand up to both audit and statistical reliability standards to insure we are both compliant and repeatable.

Now I look at the current election with the major shift in process such as a massive mail in vote campaign and think, wow, with such a major process shift what additional steps were taken to insure integrity, chain of custody and statistical reliability. Clearly it appears that zero additional steps were taken, on the contrary based on the widespread issues, it would appear that the open process holes were exploited (since more than 90% of failures resulted in votes for Biden, not a statistically reliable result).

That indicates to me a do over would be necessary with dramatically better control of the process, chain of custody and bi-partisan count monitoring. Truth is all I want, it’s not about being liberal or conservative. I want every legal legitimate vote counted and fraudulent false votes removed. I want a level of accuracy with a margin of error at least twice the candidate vote disparity to insure the properly elected President takes office, regardless of who that is.

Proud to call him a relative!

And you should be, it is a wonderful breakdown of a process most of us mistrust but few understand. I believe even the Democrats believe there is voter fraud, they just don’t care because it has always benefited them.

This really makes me mad because I also care about the truth. I don’t want fraud in our election process from any party, just like I wish we could rid ourselves of corrupt government officials. Which would leave us with about no one.

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments in Texas v. California and California v. Texas. It is a dispute between groups of red states and blue states over the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate.

NOTE: Turley supports a national health care system, but opposes the individual mandate.

I don’t think I mentioned it but…FINALLY!!!!! We have trucks stringing fiber optic cable down our street, soon we’ll soar into the 21st century! After years of waiting it’s finally on its way and we should have it in place within a few months.

You’d think it was the result of the billions of dollars the Feds have done sunk into trying to bring hi-speeds to the rural areas but nope, it’s our electrical co-op who just ponyed up and started wiring the county, they’re not doing the city areas that already have access, just us deplorable rednecks outen heuh in the stix. Patience…patience…patience…

We had a provincial election here in BC Oct 24.
With all the virus concerns it made me wonder what the turnout of registered voters would be – here’s what I found.
“Barely half of B.C.’s registered voters cast a ballot in Saturday’s provincial election, according to preliminary estimates by Elections BC, making the rate of participation the lowest ever in records going back to 1928.
Preliminary figures show only 52.4 per cent of people registered to vote did so, either in person or by requesting a vote-by-mail package, according to Elections BC, although it expects that number to rise once all votes have been tabulated.
The previous low turnout of 55.14 per cent was in the 2009 provincial election.
Political watcher Gerald Baier says the low turnout is a likely a consequence of the current “weird times” brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m inclined to give voters of British Columbia a mulligan on this one, in the sense that I don’t think it signals a broader pattern in voter turnout,” said the associate professor of political science at the University of B.C.

    CBC Link
Granted, this was a provincial election, not a federal one, but still – BC has an election with the lowest turnout in about a century, yet in the US –“This year’s estimated 66 percent voter turnout rate tops anything we’ve experienced in the last century. “
    Suspicious cat is suspicious.

A friend asked me what we will do if Nancy Pelosi and her majority House members refuse to confirm the electoral vote which retains our President in office.

I haven’t a clue, but it sure sounds like something she would do. Since it’s never happened before, there’s probably no procedure set in place. Honestly, I hate to look it up because I’ll have to wade through dozens of half-true or untrue evaluations of our present situation. But it is something I hope President Trump’s legal counsel is checking out.
