Since we’re being told now that our work ethic, striving, desire to move ahead and better our lives through hard work is all racist now will the Woke-o-crats cancel Labor Day as a racist holiday?
Mmmhuh! It’s also racist to own or drive a car. It’s racist to use a computer, a cell phone, walk on sidewalks or blacktop. Everything that Western culture produced is racist. Maybe that’s why some folks in Portland decided to go naked at the “peaceful” protests?
The day the insane have seemingly taken over that’s when the useful idiots will find they are facing a huge hole in the ground and some folks are pointing pistols at their heads.
Keep taking your vitamin D kiddos! Good morning π !
Eight months into the pandemic and science is starting to catch up with average citizens on Twitter who said months ago, "Hey, I think there's an obvious pattern to who gets sickest." https://t.co/uGz4Oxzi4A
I wonder if the fact that I actually overdosed on D helped me when I had it. The doctor had told me back in the fall last year to increase my intake of D. I made a mistake when I ordered and got doses of 5,000 instead of 2,000 and took three of them. I definitely had COVID, but survived it.
I’d posted a few weeks back that I’d seen articles early on that D seemed to be a factor in helping prevent COVID infection and lessen the effects in people. Back in March one of my doctors out-of-the-blueish tested my D levels and had me go to 5000 IU a day and just recently tested again and had me go to 10,000 IU a day 3 times a week. There was no explanation and I didn’t ask as I had the feeling from our conversations she, as she’s a specialist, had read the research too.
I found the latest articles I could and you’ll see it appears we’re all correct.
Well, I was taking two capsules and she wanted me to take a third. I can’t remember how much was in each capsule. Maybe 2,000. Anyway, 10,000 should be the max. She had me drop back to 5,000 until the level in my body came back down.
You should see me. I am lily white with red speckles now. I have vitiligo and it took away the age spots on my hands and all the tan I ever had. It is a skin disease where you lose the melanin in your skin, usually in patches. I was already so pale, it probably wouldn’t even be noticeable except I lost the age spots. LOL
Mornin’ everyone. Sunny outside, but I don’t expect it to last. We had a pretty heavy T-storm in the evening yesterday. I thought it was over and ran to take a shower only to have what sounded like somebody pounding on the wall in the bathroom scare me half to death. Another storm and moved in. I got out of the shower as quick as I could. π― Hope everyone has a nice day.
I received some pkgs that I had not ordered from Amazon yesterday. Three to be exact. I decided to call and tell them and I have to send back the expensive ($150) frame, but I get to keep the expensive bike lock ( I don’t have a bike) and the expensive place mats (not my style). Also, I got an email saying I can keep anything else they send me. LOL I know I will get an expensive bottle of cologne (I don’t wear cologne). They are sending UPS to pick up the frame. Obviously they made a mistake when they printed out the labels.
Is it heavy enough to be stable? I purchased something similar and it moves around too much. Maybe it should be used on a hard surface like in the master bath.
I figure that if I get a tricycle, it will get me out and about at least in the late spring, summer and fall. Winter up here is a beast and snow slogging on foot is doable but not riding a bike or tricycle.
I use mine on the carpet and it is fine. If it slides, using a rubber mat under it works too – even rubber shelf liner. Some people use it on table tops to work their arms, and that is what they use. It has large rubber feet and weighs 23 pounds.
Thank you Stella, and Sidney, for posting this lovely video. Looking him up I found he wanted to be an opera singer as a young man but didn’t have the money to finish music school. He became a baker to support his family.
His daughters entered him in Holland Has Talent and he blew the panel away with his version of “Nessun Dorma.” The video isn’t subtitled into English from Dutch, but you’ll get the drift…
Lucille!! O my GOSH!!! That was just Stupendous!! What a Treat!!

Thanks for posting this. An uplifting video for a crazy time in the world. xoxo β₯οΈππππ
Not entirely connected but twice in the last few years the SCOTUS has ruled that retired military personnel can be court-martialed under the UCMJ for crimes committed after they retire. The SCOTUS affirmed that even though service members are retired their retirement is only a change in status as they are subject to recall in an emergency.
We’ve recently had two retirees tried and convicted in a civilian court for crimes committed after they retired and who were also called up by the DoD for a court-martial, tried and convicted. If we really wanted to overreach we could also see a retired military member tried by the DoJ if the DoJ could squeeze the retiree’s crime through a Federal Civil Rights keyhole.
The scary thing here is that since the SCOTUS says retirees are still subject to the UCMJ there’s nothing preventing the DoD from saying that retirees cannot directly participate in partisan political affairs or speak ill of any elected politician. Far fetched? So’s recalling a retired servicemember for a court martial for a civilian crime committed outside of the service.
Yesterday, They had a boat parade on Lake Lanier. I live near there, and it’s in my home town. They expected 700, and Gateway pundit said 4000 showed up! The local paper said it was 2300. I wish I had known, I’d have gone too see!
With the rush to the ‘savior’ of an upcoming COVID vaccine I find it interesting that the much more researched and tested flu vaccine had only a 45% effectiveness for the 2019-2020 flu season.
But in the meantime, let’s relax and enjoy the dayβ¦
