Those bug cams – awesome.
Think what can be done when those bug cams are miniaturized to microscopic size and placed in a vein and, the robot bug being controlled by an MD, can unclog veins and other such applications.

BTW, that ‘camera on a bug’ thing has been a DARPA project for decades. They’ve been trying to get cameras and/or microphones built in/on to bugs to use as spying devices and as part of it they give large research grants to universities to generate ideas. This is probably one of those grants.

Appears that the large medical company that runs the DoD Tricare program, providing health insurance to military members, their families and retirees and their families was working with a concern doing research on using plasma from COVID survivors to treat those with active COVID. It looks as if the DoD company was supposed to ID COVID survivors under Tricare as sorted by their proximity to certain plasma donation sites. Tricare would then send the survivors letters requesting they donate plasma for the project.
Just as what happened at my shop (I have no idea how it happened…) the letter wasn’t intelligently vetted and 600,000 letters went out to Tricare enrollees referring to them as ‘COVID’ survivors. The letters were sent to just about every enrollee referring to them as someone who’d had COVID, causing surprise to some who didn’t even know they had and were treated for COVID.
The company has since apologized and all’s back to normal but I can’t help wondering if those 600K were reported as ‘positives’ and the subsequent correction shown as 600K cured?
