Alsop’s Poem of the Day is especially for our Twitter readers whom we wish a very happy Summer! This poem was written by Robert Louis Stevenson, author of Treasure Island! It is called Bed in Summer. Enjoy!#LiverpoolReads
Even better, try reading it out loud! pic.twitter.com/X7pEjCYd8m

Handel's Water Music first performed #otd 1717. Here's an arrangement for the #flute from the mid 18th century. https://t.co/RDmBs7RAaZ pic.twitter.com/4m0dsmGwHC

(Santa Ana, CA): A stranger surprised 94-yr-old tamale street vendor with $81k she raised for him. In their 1st meeting, he told how he was having a hard time making ends meet, so Kenia decided to take it on herself to help out— buying new shoes, wheelchair & the $81k donation! pic.twitter.com/bu9iJg1ZqB

Pretty entertaining! Love the Madonna wannabe.
(Edgware, England): Robert Speker who works as Activities Co-ordinator at Sydmar Lodge Care home, wanted to keep the seniors entertained since they’ve been in lockdown for 4 months and counting…. so they had some fun recreating classic album covers.

Another hit from 1966. Have a good one!
Handel’s Wassermusik was the second classical piece that drew me in to fine music (Vivaldi’s Four Seasons was first).
No one cool listened to classical music, but Ma Soeur, a classical violinist, played it, and i listened.
Beautiful music, nice memory.
Luv the pub banter and all the puppies.
Why is a 94 yo man still selling tamales on a street corner? What a good person to help him out. They are both blessed now.
