I missed the background on your cousin’s plight, but thank God he has had surgery and dentures – how wonderful! It must be a joy to everyone to see his smile 😉 Lots of pics being taken with everyone I’m guessing!

Hi GAC, my cousin who is more like a brother to me, (we grew up two blocks apart from each other for our entire childhood) was diagnosed with cancer. A very aggressive cancer and he was given 6 weeks – 6 months to live.

Lots of tears and time spent together during that time, lots of love and reminiscing, lots of prayers from the people here and from other people.

He is 5’ 10 inches and was down to 97 pounds at his lowest weight, but we still managed to get together once a week, his sister was/is his earthly angel.

They spent what we thought would be his last summer at his summer trailer on the lake, cried when it was closed up thinking about it being the last time he would ever be there.

Well that diagnosis was about 3 years ago now, he continues to confound the doctors and the large mass that broke his collar bone is gone. He is cancer free.

Part of what happened is that his gun and jaw began to decay but he was too unhealthy and weak to do anything about it. Finally the doctors said he was healthy enough for surgery, they reconstructed his gum and his jaw bone and he in now fit with a complete set of dentures. I don’t think I’ve seen him smile like this since we were kids.

Now although the cancer is gone the doctors say that it is a type of cancer that always comes back. So we will see, prayers and love are welcome.

We are filled with gratitude and happiness for this time.

Oh lovely, happy to hear it. I was thinking of him the other day, and hoping he’s enjoying some lake time.

He was up at the lake, back in town for doctors appointments, they are probably headed back up there this weekend.

It’s not like when we were kids and headed to the cottage that became a steam house on 100° days – he has air conditioning!!

      Mornin’ Menagerie! 🙂

I didn’t know there was a comet! I guess it was not visible here.

The deer are pretty to look at, but I’ve been researching the best way to keep them out of my flower garden. They eat everything ! I spent a lot of money on daisies and lupines for a difficult to mow sloped area in my yard which are supposedly deer resistant, but they ate all but 2 lupines, 3/4 of the daisies, and crushed many left upright by lying down on them! A slingshot is good for daytime, but now they sneak in at night to do the damage – little (big actually) buggers! “Make flowers, Not ticks!”

      Have a great day! 😉

What a great milestone for him! Just saw about the comet: closest approach will be in 2 weeks, so you will have about a month of chances to see it. Trouble with comets is always the best time to see them is just before dawn.

Sun Flower Season. Farmer’s Market was way too hot even at 8AM, still happy to go though. I wore my Trump hat and patriotic clothes again, it is the first time someone there actually challenged me with words rather than a dirty look.

Meh. He doesn’t know that I know his boss, the owner of the company and his boss is a MAGA proponent. Big mistake on his part to be rude to me and confrontational especially under the company banner. More on that in a bit.

Oh, beautiful flowers and photo, lovely. Glad you had a politically productive day of it. The loser who confronted you spends his days wallowing in self-pity, no doubt, with a hate chaser to imbibe.

I have only received dirty looks from a few people.

A lot of people are very positive and thank me for wearing my hat, they say they are afraid to do so. I understand that but I’m also tired of the Left.

Today I was walking along minding my own business and a very overweight man looked at me and said “You’re wearing the wrong hat.” I didn’t really understand him, so I said “What” And he said “You’re wearing the wrong hat.”

I said “It’s the right hat for me, maybe not for you but you wear you want to and I’ll wear what I want to wear.”

He then said “No hate speech in Waukesha.”

I said “You telling me what I can and can’t wear is hateful.”

And he shut up. I don’t think he expected me to respond in the way I did.

The guy in the booth next to him was up, looked at me and winked. Plus I have other friends there who have my back but what a complete arrogant ignorant person to say that to me.

The owner of the business is a Black Trump supporter, he wasn’t there today, I have his number somewhere, but I’m going to talk to him next week.

I wear some form of this kind of get up every week. Making lots of new friends 🇺🇸.

I’ve said this all along. Floyd the thug died because of Floyd the thug. Everything else was theater. I told several people (don’t know if I said it here or not that Chauvin did not murder Floyd, and if there is a fair trial he will be acquitted.) Should Chauvin have kept his knee on the back of Floyd’s neck/upper back for almost 9 minutes no, but he didn’t kill him, if Floyd wasn’t acting erratic from drug consumption and resisting arrest, he may have ended up in the hospital getting treated rather for a fentanyl overdose rather than on the ground for any length of time.
