Quote of the day – pandemic edition

What has been commonly called rebellion has more often been nothing but a manly and glorious struggle in opposition to the lawless power of rebellious kings and princes.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not for your counsels or your arms.

Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

    There are those who say this was not a rebellion, but a civil war.
    Whatever.
    Would we have joined, or stayed hunkered down in our bunkers, not joining, but not rebelling, either.
    One wonders.
