Where bluebonnets grow …

“This is the only place on Earth bluebonnets grow, and once a year they come an’ go at this old house here by the road. And when we die, we say we’ll catch some blackbird’s wing, and we will fly away to Heaven come some sweet bluebonnet spring.”

Reminds me of spring in Scotland. The woods are full of bluebonnets as far as you can see.

  3. OMGosh…

    I’m an ole hardened soldier…

But this brings me to tears.

I’ve driven Hwy 90 a 1000 times, know it well, every nook and cranny, every piece of its slabs uprooted by monster Hurricane Camille 8n 1969, Friendship House restaurant on the MS Gulf Coast…

And I love the beautiful bluebonnets. Of course, Texas has theirs.

    Thanks for a great memory!

    👍👍👍🙂
