Have a wonderful early spring weekend!

Good Morning Lucille,
There were only two names on my short list for a girl (should by some miracle one be born into the family). The first being GeorgiaRea, a combination of my father and grandmothers names, and Lucille…after Mr Kings guitar. Both beautiful and meaningful names to me.

Many years ago, my husband and I had a dog named Maybelline, after Chuck Berry’s song.

Good morning, Gary! Lucille is French and means “light.” History doesn’t include many Lucilles outside of Lucille Ball (whose 2nd husband was named Gary)…
…B.B.King’s guitar…
…Lucille van Pelt–Charlie Brown’s nemesis, Lucy…
…and Lucille’s Houston Restaurant…
“It’s all about the Benedicts baby. Our brunch menu — which is available both Saturday and Sunday — features three House Benedicts, including this #crabcake rendition that features blue crab, a poached egg, and housemade Hollandaise sauce.”
Have a fine day!

My favorite song (by a magnitude of ten, as they say, no other one comes even close) is When Love Comes To Town by U2 with B.B. King. Recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis, and the video was filmed there too.

Ooh, ooh! Lucy is doing her commercial for Veeta-Vita-Vegamin! Which we should all order to take care of what ails you! But not tooooo much…

That episode never gets old, along with the grape stomping episode.
In the early 70s, I worked on her HERE’S LUCY show at Universal. It was on TV from 1968-1974. She was a very hard worker. It wasn’t all fun ‘n games but she certainly wasn’t mean or overbearing toward those who worked for and with her. She was really quite an exceptional businesswoman besides a star.
This is a fun example of what kind of set she ran…”Behind the Scenes of ‘Here’s Lucy’ Featurette” (1970). The episodes were always shot in front of a live audience and she always did the intros at the end just like this vid reveals…

Did that Irish sign face south?

Greetings Czar,
That is the new ‘Aero-nomic” design, when the wind reaches 15mph it plays Danny Boy.

Good morning everyone, Hope everyone is doing well.
From Jersey to Georgia and back, the general feel I got from the people I met was the same. Sure, we should be careful and be smart but the overall view is “They’ll do or say anything to hurt the President” . I love America simply because it’s filled with Americans!!!!! And once you drive away from the city……you meet them.

Actually, we are drinking the beer at home. Funny thing, while the crazies are buying up all the toilet paper, the beer aisles are well stocked… I’ll bet the drive thru daquiri shops in NO are still open

Mornin’ everyone. Well, it appears that the Coronavirus scare has struck here. The beach is empty today. I don’t know if it is actually closed. We will find out soon, I guess. We go home tomorrow. I know. None of you want to hear my whining about the beach! 🙄

I want you to enjoy the beach as much as you can while you are there, and hearing about it reminds me of better days!

Morning Stella!!!!!!!!! In the mid 60’s during the summer months, did you go too Wildwood NJ, to grace the beaches?

No Colonel! I was living in Illinois then, and I frequented Lake Michigan beaches.
PS: Have a nice day!

Absolutely. Most of us rarely get to go, better believe I’d whine. We are booked for a week on St. George island first week of June. If that is messed up I’m going to set new records for whining. Going with my son’s family, and school was supposed to be out. Will there still be Covid-19? Will the beaches be open? Will the schools do something weird like go back in a month or two and keep going? Who knows. At this point in time, my son says he paid, he’s going, if the beaches, restaurants, etc. are open.
So, y’all brace yourself for more crying in two months if we are still in this mess!
Seriously, aus, hope you get as much beach time as possible before you go.

I just cancelled my trip to Denver to see my grand/great grandkids there. Would hate to get caught there if the city shuts down and their Rat mayor is weeping and tearing his shirt. Wonder how many mayors/governors across the country are out hunting for TP?

Well, go enjoy then! If the beaches are empty, safer for you!

Idaho’s population is approximately 1.83 million. As of this morning, my county of Kootenai (photo taken above the town of Worley shows Lake Coeur d’Alene)…
…has 1 case of the coronavirus. The other counties with cases are in the southern part of the state: Ada County which has 3; Blaine, 16; Twin Falls, 1; Madison, 1; Teton, 1.
Apparently the authorities are also releasing virus information in Spanish…yes, In Idaho!

We have five in our county and I believe 154 cases state wide as of yesterday. Just down the road from where upi used to live in Georgia, a small town has 16 cases.

A friend just sent me an article regarding the helpfulness of taking potassium but especially eating potassium rich foods in dealing with coronavirus. Here’s a list….
Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes
Brussels sprouts
Beets
Peas
Cooked broccoli and Spinach
Lima beans and other white beans
Pinto beans, Kidney beans, Soybeans, Black beans, Lentils, Edamame
Avocados
Cucumbers
Swiss Chard
Butternut squash
Molasses
Tomato paste without sugars or additives
Apricots, and other dried fruits: Prunes, Raisins, Dates
Bananas
Oranges
Cantaloupe
Honeydew
Grapefruit
Pomegranates
Watermelon
Cocoanut water
After typing this list, I’ve got to go fix some Brussels sprouts which I luckily bought on Monday.

I’m all set. I eat all of these things. I have a banana every morning, and broccoli a couple of times a week usually (last night). Grapefruit is my favorite fruit, but have been staying away from it because of possible drug interactions. I had an orange today too, and put butternut squash, beets and potatoes in my mixed roasted veggies this past week. Brussels sprouts are also a favorite.

Like most people, if it doesn’t taste good, I won’t eat it. Fortunately, there aren’t that many things that I don’t like. Lima beans come to mind.

I really love Lima beans but I haven’t had them in years on top of years. My husband does not like them so I don’t cook them.

Taking a break from veggie chopping! I’m making a chicken and biscuit casserole with lots of vegetables – onion, carrots, celery, mushrooms. I made turkey stock yesterday from meat I had in the freezer, and I poached a couple of chicken breasts in it earlier today, so I’ll add both turkey and chicken meat to my casserole. I’ll also add frozen peas, then top with biscuits.

I just tasted my filling, and it is delicious! I was going to add a little bit of white wine and some cream, but it doesn’t need it.

Ended up making dumplings instead of biscuits (same ingredients anyway). That way I didn’t have to dirty another dish. It’s very good!

I made a Mexican street corn casserole with chopped roast chicken cut up and put in it last night. It was really good but would have been so much better with fresh corn, which I didn’t have.
I bought a jar of crema in the dairy section and I may use that stuff in danged near everything. Wow is it good.

Don’t recall if anyone posted this previously, but it is so worth your time to listen to Sidney Powell…

How to Fix Justice
I found the vid at Quod Verum in REX’s section where he wrote…”Sidney Powell @SidneyPowell, one of the most important figures to emerge in the American legal community in decades, addresses Hillsdale in an important speech. It’s frightening how bad things have become in the DOJ/FBI. Powell notes that the rot started 20 years ago. BTW wait until you hear how much Holder’s scumbags at Covington charged Gen Flynn. $3 million + !”

Rex also has a really good series on the UKRAINIAN–NOT RUSSIAN–source for the Christopher Steele Dossier. Read REX’s comments at @REX@social.quodverum.com.

Coronavirus hides under the porch…empowered bureaucrats stalk the streets…the world as we know it stands at the precipice…the end is nigh. However a nice 7X distilled vodka drink and a nice tropical rice and pork dinner and who cares?! A vodka buzz and a carb rush and the world is MINE!

We have 49 cases in Oklahoma. City governments everywhere are closing restaurants, hair salons, nail salons, tanning salons, gyms, arcades, everything but WalMart and grocery stores where hundreds if not thousands are lined up every morning.
Now for 49 cases the National Guard has been called up, but repeatedly keep wanting to stress and empathize this is not martial law or a lock down, just to help flatten the curve. Nobody in state government or the National Guards have had any discussions about martial law or a lock down. Anyone rumoring that is just causing a lot of stress, so again they stress it’s not martial law or a lock down.
Yeah, let’s just say when they want to repeat themselves over and over to convince me what it’s not, it raises my stress level it is what they say it’s not.

Way out here in the country, except for the inconvenience of having to find things in the store, it’s just another day. County pols who run, or so they think, the county knowingly avoid messing with those of us in the sticks except when they want $$$.

Sitting on our patio with drinks and watching the sun go down over our lake, in dead silence, relieves the stress of having to deal with a world gone needlessly mad.

Yeah, we’re usually left alone as well. These days I’m not really sure what the hell is going on, so don’t know how long that is going to last.
Nearest town just closed about everything down with the exception of grocery stores, even the damn public parks and nature trail in town is shut down. Some hair salons are questioning how they who make appointments, so never have more than 10 people and most times 3 people are a threat to spread the virus, yet WalMart with 350+ waiting in line for the store to open is not going to spread the virus.
So they get WalMart, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Pharmacy and all the medical pot stores.
Then later learn the National Guard is coming into the state to flatten the curve of 49 positive cases and one death, but three times in one statement they are stressing and emphasizing they’re not here for martial law or a lock down, not even discussed they say.

So far only NG med units I’m seeing and they’re aiding with testing at the 8 drive-thru sites in/around NOLA. Out here it’s no Guard, local hospital has 4 cases and everyone’s doing what they’re usually doing with the exception of hunting up food.
