Off to NOLA in the AM…getting carjacked, getting mugged, getting shot, getting COVID-19 ‘maybe’ diagnosis…who says all of the city’s avenues of traditional fun have been closed?
Almost forgot about that. AND I still have one of the web holsters the McIlhenny folks gave out to our unit before an Egyptian deployment back in ’85. Make dem virus as tasty as dem MREs, I guar-ahn-tee!
Wet, foggy, clammy…and those are its good qualities. Thugses to the right of me, presumed COVID-19 to the left of me, crooked politicians behind me, off into the jaws of death, thru the mouth of hell…but enough about our going into New Orleans this morning.
Good day to you, WeeWeed! Might as well laugh or we will be using that pool cue to the face on all Dems who are blaming our President for everything bad and never a praising word for all the good he’s done.
Personally, I’m concentrating on beautiful scenes like this…look at that water in Mykonos, Greece!
Thanks. I am looking forward to it. My friend’s time share is right on the beach. In fact the water comes almost up to the pool area during high tide. And, her room is facing the water. So, it is really a great place.
One of my favorite memories was when a storm came at us from way out in the ocean. As it got dark, I could see just tiny flashes of light way off in the distance. It took about an hour or more, maybe, to get to us. The lightning flashes turned the room white and the booms from the thunder shook the building. It was amazing. I had propped myself up on the couch where I slept and just watched. I didn’t want to fall asleep and miss any of it. Good thing I didn’t since, when the rain hit, our door to the balcony was open, and the rain came in and even dampened the bed where she slept at the other side of the room. I had to fight to get it closed. LOL
Went to bed yesterday and it was a driveway full of really big sticks. This morning it’s a driveway full of GREEN LEAVES EVERYWHERE!!!!! We gots our trees back!@
Our azaleas are out, including the non-PC variety we have that’s named after a Confederate Admiral. The change is amazing – now it ain’t, POOF, now it is.
I usually have Fox and Friends on in the morning while I am fixing and eating breakfast. I ff through all the commercials and subjects I am not interested in. This morning I watched the three hour show in about an hour by the time I ff through the commercials, coronovirus, basketball, repeats of the weather, Judge Napolitano, the repeated Headlines, and the Demoncraps attempts to coronate Biden as their chosen loser in the 2020 election.
I just came back in the room from doing laundry and Biden is speaking. The mute is on so I can’t hear him. But, I do have CC on and what he is saying is infuriating. Some of what he is saying is that Trump is doing a bad job and needs to do all these things. They are things Pres. Trump has already set in motion. And, I guess the Demoncraps are hammering on the Pres. shouldn’t be speaking at all. SMH They really want to silence him.
The last few pair of glasses I had to buy, I bought online and they were so much less expensive! Now that I have implants, I only need readers, thank you God!
I’ve had really bad vision all of my life. My first glasses were when I was 4 yo. I actually got to a negative 13.5 which is really bad. My eye Dr. told me one day that I had cateracts, and referred me to a specialist who performed surgery and it was like “WOW”! I now have vision like I never dreamed of having. An hour after the first surgery, he did an exam and I was 20/20. The next eye he did a little different, to make it easy for the computer.
I can now see better then I’ve ever been able to! I only need readers to see “mouse-print”, like on medicine bottles. The site that I bought them from was http://www.eyebuydirect.com. Even the readers I bought were good. The really bad RX glasses I got from them were the best I ever had!
I just noticed something. I have been running up and down the stairs all day and I just noticed I haven’t been breathing heavily. Back at the end of November and the first week in December I was with my son’s family and the two girls were sick. Not terribly, but they definitely had something that seemed like a cold, but not really. The little one developed a rash, but we didn’t notice a fever. The older one was very tired, had a slight fever and then was diagnosed with mild case of pneumonia.
I felt tired, a little warm one day, and then when I got back home the second week in December, I was so limp and tired for about two weeks. The other thing was, I was having trouble going up and down the stairs without breathing very heavy which was very unusual. I just thought I was getting older. Ha! But, now that is gone. Makes me wonder if this virus has been hanging around longer than we know.
Seems we put up with feeling badly, just thinking it is Getting Older. My mothr hurt her shoulder and it got more and morre tight until she could not reach up to fix her hair. When she finally went to the doctor, he laughed at her and manipulated it, and then it worked fine.
Schools here are closed for two weeks, after which spring break is scheduled, but they say they might include spring break as part of that time if they can go back. I don’t see that happening, I think they will be out indefinitely.
The Universities in New Orleans closed down and sent the students home to watch the lectures on the computer. Don’t say when they will return. Some courses can’t be done that way, think labs, but guess they’ll be inventive.

When I fell and hit my head, I also cracked the frame of my glasses.
I just found the exact frame on e-bay for less than half the cost of a replacement pair, because this model is obsolete. So happy about that!
