Annnnnnd speaking of birds, we held the annual Spring rite of The Raising of the Purple Martin Houses. A couple of hours of washing, assembling, repairing irritating little plastic clips and raising them some 20 feet in the air – a round of cursing and a few drinks and we’re ready. Now for the annual; Fall Festival of the Removal of the Purple Martin Houses. Nothing like predictability.

My mum puts up a Wood Duck house every year. Batting 0 for about 7 at the moment.

We get wood ducks as passers-thru, they’re quite colorful. I’ve been tempted to put up boxes over on the north part of the lake…maybe this year.

9) Author, filmmaker, blogger and activist Mike Cernovich filed documents in federal court demanding corrupt Judge Amy Berman Jackson to release the pre-trial questionnaire answers provided by lead juror Tomeka Hart, a far left Democrat operative who likely lied on her forms to land a position on the jury against Roger Stone.
Mike Cernovich is credited with exposing Tomeka Hart as a far left operative who posted numerous anti-Trump and anti-Roger Stone messages on social media before and during the trial against Stone.___Gateway Pundit

Thanks, lovely, for the actual smile that came to me after reading your 10 Smiles….plus the real chuckle when I Googled for the origin of 2)…”Possible related search: monoplane” was their suggestion! Hahahaha!

LOL on the monoplane. I found the photo on Imgur, chap said it was his grandpa, just a handle name (which I don’t remember ) not any history.

Hopefully he sent Gramps’ photo to all his relatives…that’s a family treasure. The guys in the family could have similar poses taken and do a collage…LOL!

But can whatever Cernovich does get the vedict overturned? Hope Stone’s lawyers prevail.

In my onion there is enough evidence to of judicial malice to overturn the verdict. Whether or not that happens is yet to be seen.
This is without a doubt an abuse of the voir dire process. There is demonstrable malice and bias that the judge sanctioned against the defendant.

Hey, WeeWeed! Quite a choice is being set up by the Democratic National Communist…er, Committee…either a commie or whatever you wish to designate Joe as. Do they really think they’re going to win an election with either of those two? Mass dementia, if so.
Celebrating Today in Texas History….
1836 – The Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico was adopted at Washington-on-the-Brazos. An ad interim government was also formed.
1910 – In San Antonio, at Fort Sam Houson, Lt. Benjamin D. Foulois made the first military air flight in a Wright brothers plane. The flight was seven-and-a-half minutes long and marked the beginning of the U.S. Air Force.
1949 – The B-50 Superfortress Lucky Lady II landed in Fort Worth, TX. The American plane had completed the first non-stop around-the-world flight.

When my boss turned 65, I made up a document with every “today in history” I could possibly find for the date, including his birth, and put it a binder. It totaled around 100 entries, some of which were quite detailed. He absolutely loved it and sat reading the list aloud to those gathered for the party. LOL!

Good afternoon, aus! It’s 42 degrees, overcast and grumpy looking in my neck of the woods, but at least none of our local lakes are frozen…

…like Sukovo Lake in Serbia. Apparently a photographer named Nikola Spasic takes hundreds of photos of this lake at all times of the year. He has quite an eye.

Afternoon everyone….living through day three of howling ‘chinook winds’ that have been driving down from up North. We’re in the middle of a ‘High Wind Warning’ at the moment and it is a balmy 47 degrees.
Lord have mercy, it appears that the high winds are forecast through Wednesday…sigh.

We had winds that haven’t been seen in the 3 years we have lived here. The winds moved a cast iron patio table across the deck with 2 cast iron chairs kind of attached, legs are set around other legs.
The chairs vibrate with the wind when it is about 30 mph. I am guessing a sustained wind gust of 60 mph must have hit the table & chairs.

After reading litenmaus’ comment about high winds, I got to thinking about wind and how we seldom think about unless it is destructive.
From the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC: Wind is the movement of air, caused by the uneven heating of the Earth by the sun and the Earth’s own rotation. Winds range from light breezes to natural hazards such as hurricanes and tornadoes. Wind socks, like this one near Crissy Field, San Francisco, California, indicate the relative speed and direction of the wind in a specific place.

We see how wind affects various objects…
Orange County, CA…

High Winds at the Mackinac Bridge cause its closing…

And then there is a wonderful breeze to cool us at the beach….

OMG I am losing it , People. I just put some clothes in the washer and then went and sat down. Then, when I heard the dryer going, I couldn’t remember what I had put in it. {sigh} I put the clothes in the washer and then turned on the dryer. SMH

Hahaha! One time I put in a wash and didn’t remember until the following week when I wanted to do another wash. Everything was stiff as a board, dry and stuck together. I had to peel it all out, rinse/drain & spin, and put the “rewash” in the dryer before I could do the next batch. LIFE!

You’re lucky you live where it’s so dry. Here in the humid south everything mildews by the next day. Sometimes it just gets smelly, but if you leave it long enough black spots of mildew grow on it…..
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yep. I have had them mildew on the clothesline.

LOL If I had done that here, they would have been soured and mildewed so badly that I would have never gotten them clean.

In a dictatorship like the present-day progressive media, you can never say anything that is not approved. He spoke out about socialism and the fact it is unworkable.
Moral: if you want to keep your job and not “retire” or “move on”, then you gotta follow the party line.
Second Moral: Don’t bet against the Trump Curse.
Poor Chrissy! He was too dumb to realize he was expendable.
