Being a glass-half-empty kind of gal, I don’t expect this to be the end. I expect them to come up with something else, and something else, and then another thing. SMH

SOB Romney will vote to convict and remove the President. Apparently he also is defending Hunter and Joe Biden. There are not enough bad words.

My husband has a family member that is Mormon, he married into it. When we got married I knew nothing about Mormons, but I spent years researching everything I could. I won’t go into it other than to say they must become perfect in order to get their god pedestal. Romney obviously is perfectly fine with being a servant to a family member in the after life he believes in because according to his religion he can never make it to the celestial level.

I’ve studied it too. I think very few people are even curious about Mormonism, including perhaps some Mormons themselves.

I did it for my children, because they liked to play a lot of mind games to recruit others that I picked up on real quick.

They later on used their kids to try on my kids, my kids were well educated, but my middle child was easily influenced so at that time we avoided all family gatherings if they were in attendance.

I had a neighbor when I was in my middle teens who invited me to come to a meeting to learn more about Mormonism. I knew nothing about it at all and was afraid he might have been interested in dating me. To be honest, I doubt my parents would have let me go. I don’t even know if I told them. Sometime after that I read Riders of the Purple Sage by Zane Grey. I was glad I turned him down. Then in my twenties I had a neighbor who was a single woman who was a Mormon and I learned a lot more.

That is one of the ways they recruit teens, tell them about all the fun they have and especially with young boys about all the young girls they can meet. My husband said they tried to use that one on him when he was a teen, but he was already very grounded in his faith and laughed at them. Another ruse is to tell people who may have addictions to alcohol or tobacco how Mormonism saved them.

With me it was more subtle stuff and eventually turned to more in your face, by that time I knew probably more about their religion than they did and in my younger days was very blunt and told them exactly what I thought about what I knew.

No one with knowledge of the religion could legitimately think of it as a branch of Christianity. I know that Mormons get very offended over that, but you do not get to redefine a religion 1800 years after the fact and write a book counter to almost all the teachings of Christ himself and create a totally new church. Nope.

And that’s if you get past the very legitimate problems with the founder himself.

I also heard Cryin’ Chuck earlier… talking about SOTU rather than ‘peahment.
He completely rubbished Trump’s speech.. called him a liar… claims that American people are much worse off… he even claimed that all the good job numbers etc were BETTER in Obama’s last 3 years than in Trump’s 3 years. These people are DELUSIONAL!

    Just a thought… a wish.
Can the Republican party “excommunicate” a member?
Be nice to see Romney thrown out of the party before he votes 🙂

    As I predicted….

Cryin’ Chuck is making a big thing out of this being a “Bipartisan Impeachment” (for ever) because Romney voted to impeach

REALLY… Romney just voted to have the Republican President removed from office, and excluded from the next election. Romney is NOT a Republican (he never was)

Mittens is of course making EXCUSES… and is even prepared to “blame God”

His argument includes the claim that… he needed to hear extra witnesses who might well prove Trump innocent???? That is NOT how British/American justice works. There is no requirement to “prove you are innocent”. Romney is just confirming that the PROSECUTION failed to make it’s case.
