I borrowed the last quote and posted it on Facebook. I was corrected about the author, and checked. It was Abe Rosenthal of the
Philadelphia Inquirer.New York Times about Laura Foreman, who had slept with a PA state senator while she covered him at the Inquirer before coming to the Times. The actual quote is more coarse.LikeLiked by 2 people

As I may have mentioned, I’m not watching the proceedings live. I will watch some of the vids as they come available so I may pause them as necessary for my sanity.

Steve Bannon War Room analyzing the Farce.. naturally see Trump side making best Legal arguments… but Schiff is managing to push the political “theater” side of it all. He likely realizes that Trump will NOT be removed from office, but he is not trying for that… he is making political points for the voting public.

I heard part of Schiffs monologue today and caught the part of the Dem concern for Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity. I heard about Dem concerns for our obligations to our allies and to the treaties we have signed.
Does anyone remember Dem concern for Ukrainians sovereignty and territorial integrity when Russia was seizing Crimea and the Eastern Ukraine?

Schiff may have mischaracterized Parnas evidence, documents show
Unredacted material shows he may have referred to the wrong “Mr. Z.”
The issue arose when Schiff (D-Calif.) sent a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) last week summarizing a trove of evidence from Lev Parnas, an indicted former associate of Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani. In one section of the letter, Schiff claims that Parnas “continued to try to arrange a meeting with President Zelensky,” citing a specific text message exchange where Parnas tells Giuliani: “trying to get us mr Z.” The remainder of the exchange — which was attached to Schiff’s letter — was redacted.
But an unredacted version of the exchange shows that several days later, Parnas sent Giuliani a word document that appears to show notes from an interview with Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder of Burisma, followed by a text message to Giuliani that states: “mr Z answers my brother.” That suggests Parnas was referring to Zlochevsky not Zelensky.

It has been established that he is NOT a “whistleblower” by the accepted definition, and besides even a legit whistleblower does NOT get total anonymity. That was a silly game played by Schiff in the House.. and complied with by MSM (supported by social companies)

This game is past silly…. the DIMS obviously intend to name and debate every dream witness name they have. They will all fail. It will take hours.. and go into tomorrow.
McConnell just suggested combining a bunch of names in one hit… Cryin’ Chuck says NO!!

I understand the reasoning that if the Senaye dismissed the Articles as invalid from the outset… the DIMS would use the narrative that Trump was really guilty and the Senate covered for him… but they are going to do that anyway whaen Trump is acquitted… so why carry on with this farce. They need to at least VOTE to dismiss… NOW!

Seems no agreement… DIMS pressing on with amendments for named people. The latest is 2 names at least. It seems each of these amendment debates is given TWO HOURS!!

I have watched a LOT of trials. Given that the Prosecution always get to lay out their case first… it often seems after just the Prosecution Opening Statement that “the defendant is in trouble”, but…. The prosecution naturally only present one side and they omit a lot of exculpatory facts and frankly FIB. This one sided Senate presentation is like that. It is mostly a Schiff fantasy of what MIGHT be shown. As Trumps team keep saying, Trump has not yet had an opportunity to present a defense.

The difference here is that even with an unconstitutional malicious first phase of inquiry President Trump was not in trouble. The vote to impeach President Trump was not based in evidence or a stellar case, it was based solely and wholly in a coup attempt.

I see people claiming that the DIMS gained nothing today, but unfortunately that is far from true. They got to put on a 13+ hour political circus show… which would fire up their base at least, and might well affect a few flaky Senators. DIMS repeated over and over the Narrative that Trump is corrupt, having sort to get Ukraine to interfere in 2020 election and that Trump (and his team) were engaged in a “cover up” now. There was lots of push back from Trumps legal team.. but legal arguments don’t necessarily counter circus clowns like Schiff and Naddler. The DIMS also got Susan Collins to “flip” on one amendment. (more time for written questions). She did get back in line for final vote.
