EVERY BODY.. even legal experts who are NOT Trump supporters say these Articles are “invalid” Especially the second one.. which is a total silly farce.
So…. WHY (As Sen. Lindsay contends) is Senate not going to DISMISS out of hand?
The answer is “political games”.. and that is a silly reason to give this farce any credibility.

David Rivkin makes a good point. Paraphrasing…. These articles are flawed and should never have been passed in the House… but…. since they were passed and sent to Senate, the Senate does have to fear them.. but then DISMISS. No rebuttal by President’s side should be needed. I have followed a lot of criminal cases and there is a standard procedure that the Defense files a motion to dismiss after the Prosecution have presented their case. No need to mount a defense since the Prosecution have not presented a valid case. This is usually a “formality” but on rare occasions it is accepted. Weak and/or malicious prosecutions that are simply not supported by facts.

I appreciate Giuliani’s abilities… but he he is NOT always “an asset” when he stirs things up in public. It was Giuliani who brought Lev Parnas into things.. in hindsight not helpful.
I’d LOVE to hear Rudy testify about the corruption in Ukraine, but NOT in the Impeachment trial. I’d like to see the Impeachment done first, then have hearings on Ukraine corruption.. as well as abuse of power by Pelosi, Schill and the gang.

Is that a “Journalist” question… or a political HACK question? It assumes a fact that is NOT PROVEN.
Kinda like “have you stopped beating your wife”. But… Stephanopoulos is a political hack, so no surprise there

What did Dersh say? He is getting smacked by his former friends.
Simple answer;
“A president should always do what is in the best interest of the country. Knowing whether or not the Biden family is compromised by a sweetheart deal with Ukraine is in the best interest of the country. Whining about any peripheral consequences or benefits derived from protecting the country is not a question of an educated man would reasonably ask.
Do you have a constitutionally pertinent question, Jackass?”

Dersh does not like President Trump, he has never been shy about that fact but he is not in CYA mode that is simply Dersh in Dersh mode.
It’s good lawyering, Dersh should not be speaking to specifics of his clients personal case, he should only address the law.
And Dersh is 100% correct.
1st Article of Impeachment is garbage. (And has been specifically spoken to in the past.)
2nd Article has already been negated by the SCOTUS.
SCOTUS has agreed to hear the arguments (in a separate case) as to whether or not a court issued valid subpoenas. This renders the 2nd Article over with.

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz pointed out on Friday that the Supreme Court had undercut the Democrats’ second article of impeachment by agreeing to hear three White House appeals against subpoenas.
The second article of impeachment passed by the House Judiciary Committee earlier Friday on a party-line vote accuses President Donald Trump of “obstruction of Congress” because he appealed to the courts rather than immediately obeying congressional subpoenas.
All that said Stephanopoulos is a vile despicable human being, trying to put words into Dersh’s mouth.
An interesting observation from a Dersh watcher. Dersh is getting more animated. Usually not a very outwardly passionate man, he was passionate in this interview.
Stephanopoulos sounded like he was going to cry.

I completely agree, lovely. Dershowitz’ role in the impeachment is as a Constitutional scholar. Any answers he gives should be in accordance with that role. His feelings and personal political opinions aren’t relevant.

Since he has been appointed to the President’s legal team for the impeachment trial, I would be appalled (and very surprised) if he answered based upon his personal feelings.

One of the YT comments was to the effect that Gersh could have replied he was there to give legal opinion, not to talk about his “feelings”. Something a proper Journalist might try.

1. General Flynn is a patriot and was set up by some criminals in the Deep State.
2. They threatened Flynn to plead guilty by threatening to indict his son
3. The judge overseeing the case is preventing General Flynn from being provided Brady material related to his case
4. Powell listed a battery of documents that the DOJ withheld from General Flynn that would have proved his innocence
5. Powell has withdrawn General Flynn’s plea of guilty
6. Prosecutor Van Grack tried to get Flynn to make a false statement and Powell has evidence of this
7. Flynn can seek an appeal upon sentencing
8. Supplemental brief will have stunning reasons to withdraw the guilty plea this Friday

Judge Sullivan has basically said in a 94 page brief that “Yes sure their were Brady violations bit Flynn never brought it up before he entered a plea deal, so Flynn is SOOL.” <<< 94 pages to say this. Seriously.
