    Fox News reported:

    President Trump has granted clemency to two Army officers accused or convicted of war crimes and restored Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher to the rank of chief petty officer after he was docked a pay grade after being convicted of posing for a photo with a dead Islamic State (ISIS) fighter, the White House announced Friday.

    Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance could be released from the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, as soon as Friday evening, six years after being found guilty of second-degree murder. Maj. Matt Golsteyn, a former Green Beret, will have the murder charge against him dropped.

    “Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Grant of Clemency (Full Pardon) for Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance, an Executive Grant of Clemency (Full Pardon) for Army Major Mathew Golsteyn, and an order directing the promotion of Special Warfare Operator First Class Edward R. Gallagher to the grade of E-7, the rank he held before he was tried and found not guilty of nearly all of the charges against him,” the White House said in a statement Friday night.

    Election day in Louisiana,voters are going to the polls to pick a gov. Present Rat gov, John Dell Edwards (who couldn’t trust a Louisiana gov named Edwards, eh?) is going up against Republican Eddie Risponi.

    Under Edwards the state lost jobs under Trump and actually stayed in down in the dregs amongst the states in several important metrics. Most notably is insurance, automobile insurance has skyrocketed as tort lawyers continue to wring $$$ from auto accidents and ‘slip and fall’ cases. Tort lawyers beat the 1st responders to the Hard Rock Hotel collapse, they had suits on file before the FD had their hoses hooked up. Bell is a lawyer and Risponi is a businessman.

    It’s coming down top New Orleans as the pivot point in the election, can the city Rat pol movers/shakers deliver the black and illegal vote to sway the results? Early and mail-in votes were at almost historic highs, just about guaranteeing the wranglers are working their slimy magic. No word about if the busses will be out ferrying voters to the polls – yep, each special bus to a number of polls. Oh yes, there’ll be poll watchers there but you can bet the habit of selectively picking poll watchers for specific polling places hasn’t died.

    The voters with the highest poverty, illiteracy – you name it – rates will be the swing. Those same folks who have special tort commercials emphasizing a tort suit as their personal jackpot will be the swing. Ain’t our system wonderful?

    Spent the afternoon with a friend I’ve known for 25 years but only see now about every 2-3 years b/c she lives on the other side of Louisiana. There is nothing like spending time with people you enjoy and have long history with.
