The nearly two-year special counsel investigation of Russian election interference led by Robert Mueller cost nearly $32 million in total, a new filing shows.

The [final] expenditures report, shared with CNBC by the Department of Justice on Friday, covers the final eight months of the probe, in which the special counsel spent about $6.56 million. About $4.12 million of that was spent through the special counsel’s office directly, and $2.44 million came from DOJ components that supported Mueller’s office.

The first 16 months of the probe cost $25.2 million in total.

The special counsel’s fourth and final spending report took significantly longer to disclose than prior filings, and arrived weeks after Justice Department officials expected it to be made public.

Although Democrats contended that millions of dollars collected through forfeiture by Mueller’s team would more than offset the costs, Politifact has reported that the money collected through forfeiture would not directly pay off the special counsel’s bills, but would go into the DOJ’s Assets Forfeiture Fund.

Let the record show that of all the criminal charges brought, none of them were against President Trump or his staff, with a couple of exceptions that had nothing to do with “Russian Collusion” prior to and during the 2016 Presidential election. One notable example is Paul Manafort who served with the Trump campaign for less than six months, two as campaign chairman. He was convicted of tax and bank fraud in 2018 and forfeited his license to practice law in January 2019.

What the he!! did they spend the $32 million on? There was no collusion and they knew it from the beginning. What did they do all day………..sit around and play Monopoly with our money and then take it home? And, where exactly did they think that forfeiture was going to come from? Did they really think that they were going to get their hands on Trump’s legally earned money? Are they all so corrupt that they can’t believe anyone who has money actually earned it some way?

What it has cost and will continue to cost those charged and/or convicted of minor crimes is beyond monetary measure.

Each one of those “investigators” prolonged the monthly stipend as long as possible. They’d still be at it if they could have gotten away with it. Easy work for the criminally-minded crew and all paid for by our hard-earned cash forcibly given to the government.
