Just for the record, the portion of federal law titled “Aliens and Nationality,” in the chapter titled “Immigration and Nationality” defines the word “alien” alone as “any person not a citizen or national of the United States.”
The government also uses the term “illegal entrants”. An alien can be in the USA either legally or illegally.
Immigrant: “An alien who has been granted the right by the USCIS to reside permanently in the United States and to work without restrictions in the United States. Such an individual is also known known as a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR).” No illegal entry.

Meanwhile in Cleveland, the city is paying $225,000 to a well-known protester who was arrested for burning a US flag at the 2016 Republican National Convention.
Well that explains it. The flag burner in Cleveland was protesting Republicans.

Re: gay flag burning in Ames – Ames is the home of Dad’s alma mater, Iowa State, where wrestling reigned supreme (remember Olympian-turned-coach Dan Gainor?) and Dad was an honorary member of the Brotherhood of Hole Closers (Engineering). Since I’m not interested in listening to a bunch of leftists in Congress and their hearing invitees bash America, I haven’t listened to even the sound bites re reparations. Can it be assumed, however, that someone mentioned “40 acres and a mule” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forty_acres_and_a_mule)? While not exactly practicable then or now, it was a good faith Special Field Order by a REPUBLICAN.
I’m also assuming today’s lefties want a cash payment paid to descendants of slaves owned by DEMOCRATS (remember Dinesh D’Souza’s finding that no Republican ever owned a slave in America). A cash payment would be, of course, considerable. Did anyone mention how much each bona fide descendant of slaves would receive?
According to UN estimates, the African-American population is approximately 25,000,000…and at $100,000 per person, the cash payment would result in a $2,500,000,000,000 cost to the non-black taxpayer…or less when you throw out all the African-Americans whose ancestors emigrated to the U.S. or its territories after the Civil War. The amount would be even more reduced depending upon what the individual’s DNA says is their percentage of “slave blood.” Jes’ sayin’!
