Costs and politics of illegal immigration

Since our President has announced that they may start sending illegal aliens to sanctuary cities, there have been complaints of “punishment”, using illegals as pawns and, now, concern about the cost and legality. According to the Washington Post:

The plan — which Trump tweeted Friday is under “strong consideration” — would have the Department of Homeland Security moving migrants from immigration jails to cities scattered across the country in vans, buses and airplanes. It would require a massive investment in transportation infrastructure, something that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials told the White House would be “an unnecessary operational burden.”

First, I would like to remind everyone that the government has been sending illegal aliens all over the country for years now, by bus and by plane. Remember the post I did about the cost of the Unaccompanied Alien Children Program?

The total for the Unaccompanied Alien Children Program, Number 93676, for fiscal year 2018 is $943,300,152. I saw an article in the New York Daily News that puts the cost over $1 billion. The Daily News explains that the $943 million doesn’t include at least another $129.5 million paid to the for-profit vendors who provide services such as transportation, security and health care at these shelters.

That’s just one program related to illegal immigration.

Back in 2016, Judicial Watch issued this report:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is quietly transporting illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to Phoenix and releasing them without proper processing or issuing court appearance documents, Border Patrol sources tell Judicial Watch. The government classifies them as Other Than Mexican (OTM) and this week around 35 were transferred 116 miles north from Tucson to a Phoenix bus station where they went their separate way. Judicial Watch was present when one of the white vans carrying a group of OTMs arrived at the Phoenix Greyhound station on Buckeye Road.

The OTMs are from Honduras, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala and Border Patrol officials say this week’s batch was in custody for a couple of days and ordered to call family members in the U.S. so they could purchase a bus ticket for their upcoming trip from Phoenix. Authorities didn’t bother checking the identity of the U.S. relatives or if they’re in the country legally, according to a Border Patrol official directly involved in the matter. American taxpayers pick up the fare for those who claim to have a “credible fear,” Border Patrol sources told JW. None of the OTMs were issued official court appearance documents, but were told to “promise” they’d show up for a hearing when notified, said federal agents with firsthand knowledge of the operation.

AND, President Trump didn’t invent the idea of sending illegals to cities that are his political opponents, except that his targets are actually public about their support for illegal immigrants in our country by declaring themselves “sanctuary cities”.

It was President Obama who first targeted cities he considered to be political opponents. Monica Showalter published an article in American Thinker today about this titled, “Remember Murietta? Dumping unvetted migrants into the cities of political foes was done by Obama first:

President Trump’s trial balloon of sending migrants surging across our border to sanctuary cities has been derided by Democrats as ‘cynicism and cruelty’ as well as ‘a new low’ by Trump, but it has a precedent: President Obama.

Back in 2014, when the migrant surge of that year brought tens of thousands of “unaccompanied children” and “moms and kids,” into the Rio Grande Valley, overwhelming the Texas processing facilities, President Obama inexplicably targeted small and mid-sized cities (same as the Trump officials’ emails) as their next destination of choice.  And instead of talking about it, they really did try to bus the unvetted migrants into small cities such as Murietta, California; Yuma, Arizona; and a conservative area of New Mexico, bringing crime, disease, and a high need for social services, without consulting those communities.

The residents protested, and the Obama administration declared them ‘racist’ in a bid to scare them into line.

I was on the ground at Murietta during those protests when I was an editorial writer at Investor’s Business Daily, and I spoke to the citizens of that city, who were not only far from racist, but actually multiracial themselves.  They told me this:

Asked why the rebellion was centered in Murieta and not elsewhere, the residents all had one answer: they were Reagan Country, and it was on their soil that the Reagan revolution was lit in 1978.

    Illegal Aliens in NY

Don’t know if you heard about this current news

But very left wing NY is fighting mad that their Elected Politicians voted and passed a Bill to give Illegal Aliens free College

When they voted DOWN the same Bill to give American Military People who have been injured or killed their kids free College

Illegal Aliens – yes free college

American Citizens – no free college

Hopefully the New Yorkers are about to wake up!

The spin on Trump moving the dross to blue cities is negative because the Rat plan was to move them to red cities/counties/states to reduce conservative influences in politics.

We are in a rather rural area but about 6 years ago INS raided three Mexican restaurants and grabbed over 14 illegals. Exactly what happened to them is lost to history but red Mississippi, just like red Louisiana, is and has been getting huge influxes of illegal Latino immigrants for decades now. After 911 when I was working an issue I saw the folders on a large Latino community on the coast that fed cheap and illegal workers to the ship and offshore construction industries. Every now and then INS would make a scheduled raid, mop up some illegals and they’d be back/replaced before the breakfast dishes were done.

I fear that this is a done deal, that government predicted, seemingly mandated, 40+% of the country being Hispanic by 2050 is on track. Get ready to presionas uno por Ingles real soon, the numbers are increasing and the deck’s stacked against us.
