There’s a rumor going around that…

Oh how I wish. I’ve been up since around 1:30 am! Morning! (yaaaawwwwnnnn) 😴

Morning, sand. I’ve been up since 6:00. Couldn’t sleep because of horrible pains in my left arm.
The other day when I was getting something out of the fridge, I rose up quickly and hit my shoulder on the upper freezer door handle. Didn’t think much about it. But last night pain was going all the way down the arm into my hand. This a.m. can’t move it above my head. So I’ll be going to the Emergency this morning sometime. Wouldn’t you know…it’s started snowing.
Say a prayer. I’ll probably not be on the computer for a while since one-handed typing is too hard. LOL!

Hope it’s nothing major Lucille, and that you are back to your usual typing speed in no time.

Thanks, Menagerie. Rotator cuff injury and it’s like touching a live wire. Yeah, typing with only my right hand is majorly annoying.

Thanks, lovely! Problem is I’m really phobic about pain. Physical therapy is going to be excruciating. I’ve had problems over the years with frozen shoulder and a minor tear in the left shoulder rotator cuff when I was working; so I know the routine. The only thing that works is a cortisone shot but the ER doc didn’t want to give me one…said to try therapy first. Eaaahhhh! Don’t listen to me, buddy; I’m only the one with personal experience here on how my body reacts. LIFE!!!

In 1986 we had an exercise in California and had to transport a special vehicle from NOLA to Ft Ord so the vAF sent a C-141 to a base just south of NOLA.
Everything went fine until the trip home. The C-141 they sent to take us home parked on the runway early, wasn’t scheduled for takeoff until later that afternoon. When time came to fire up the engines the pilot hit the APU and…it blew up, making a hole in the side of the plane. AF had to fly a crew in to fix the plane so they sent the repair folks on the plane that would fly us out but it wouldn’t arrive until the next morning so the five of us slept in the truck.
Next morning the plane lands, repair crew gets off and we load up. Plane takes off and as we get up to altitude – boom – hydraulics on some controls go out and we make a landing at Travis AFB. Another night sleeping in the truck as the plane’s repaired.
Next day we take off and everything’s going great…until the loadmaster, wearing an oxygen mask, jumps down the ladder motioning for us to put on the masks that just fell from the ceiling. The huge aircraft starts making limbering turns, losing altitude rapidly as it dives for the ground. We emergency land at Altus AFB, the huge rear doors opening as we coast down the runway with fire trucks following us down the runway. Seems one of the onboard AC units was smoking.
We quickly run down the ramps, but not before I go into the truck and grab the encryption materials, and form up about 100 yards away as the firemen clear the plane. We drive the truck off of the plane and after being told it will be about 24 hours before a new plane can come we secure the encryption materials at the base and take the truck into Altus for a night at a motel.
Next day two of our crew decide that this is it, they call back to NOLA and get approval to rent a car and drive home, they’re done with flying. We get a 3rd C-141 and make it back to NOLA without further events. And yes, we beat the divers back. Fun with flying.

I had two old Sergeants Major with me, both WWII vets, and they like to drink a bit. AF is very stinky about alcohol on their planes so we had the shop build us two cases out of plywood, paint the OD and stencil ‘CRYPTO’ on their lids. One was just the size to hold a 48-quart cooler (beer) and the other was for empties.
We put the cooler with ice and beer in the crypto box inside of the trailer so that as the need arose each could go into the trailer, in-flight, and quietly grab a brew without the crew knowing. I know the crew was suspicious but as the trailer was COMSEC they couldn’t go in and I do believe that as long as the SGMs weren’t causing any problems they’d ignore it.
Funniest thing was that we’d lost track of one of the SGMs during the Altus landing – he was in the trailer throughout the entire landing and didn’t even know it was an emergency. The loadmaster was clearing the plane when he saw him leaving the trailer. SGM had been around for a while and could think on his feet, he said he’d been ‘securing the crypto gear’.

Those 141s came into the AF a year after I did and the last one was retired two years before me. They flew the hell out of them, they were THE lift force before the C-5 and still did a yeoman’s job after the C-5 came in. I logged a lot of hours on them, bare bones and uncomfortable as they were, but they were still better than Southwest.

They haven’t slowed down molesting kids, assaulting their wives, driving drunk and getting busted for drugs and child porn though. It averages at least one a week getting arrested.
One school just settled with families for 3.5 million dollars, the majority being paid with property taxes because they covered up for an old man that was inappropriately touching young girls as well as molesting some of them.

I’m of the mind that pedophiles should fed to sharks. Simple solution.
I’m sure my taxes will be going up since WI Liberals elected a moron money grabber for our governor. And sadly I’m sure that some of that money will go to settle claims because of pervert teachers.
LikeLike
Pedophiles target schools and Churches, but when the schools and Churches know about it and cover it up, they all should go to jail and as for schools they should not receive another cent of tax dollars. I had an argument with a woman whose kids go the particular school because she thought I shouldn’t want to punish the school for a couple of bad seeds. She likes her kids’ school, regardless of the fact that it wasn’t just one teacher and one principal covering for the pervert. Several teachers told the girls they needed to quit lying on such a good man. Yet in court it came out most of the teachers knew about it or had been told by students that he had done stuff to them.

I agree. I stopped donating to my church when the priest had the audacity to walk up to the pulpit and tell us that the “donation drive” had nothing to do with the pedophile epidemic in the church and all the money being sucked out of the coffers to pay off settlements because the Church was complicit in allowing predator behavior to continue on. And n. And on.

It’s been several years ago now, but a Church near us was really pushing all things kids. All of my kids’ friends and schoolmates were going, but I just got bad vibes from the Church, the pastor and the youth pastor so I wouldn’t let my kids go. It took about 5 years but it came out that kids were being molested by the pastor and youth pastor.
The Church was covering it up, what was really bad though was even some of the parents whose kids had been molested were part of the coverup. They all kept defending both of them even after they were convicted and sent to prison.
What’s really bad is the pastor has long been out of jail now and he’s back to being a pastor again and it’s another Church that really pushes for kids’ programs. I told a young lady about it who attends and has elementary age kids. I thought maybe she didn’t know, but she did and informed me that everyone was to be forgiven and given a second chance.

The more parents of young kids I’m around these days, the more I come to the conclusion many if not most of them are crazy.
I know we had the helicopter generation, but now I think we have the expose them to everything generation and what doesn’t kill them will make them stronger. Of course as long as somebody doesn’t say something to them to hurt their feelings.
As I’ve told before we have an epidemic of teachers in this state molesting/raping kids and every single time a new one is charged, there are hundreds of parents defending them and talking how great of a teacher they are and how they would put their child back in their classroom tomorrow if they could.

So, the striped columns make me think. Have they sliced two different sections of marble at an angle and somehow carved and stacked them into hugely tall columns? Is this some painted treatment? All I do know is that it is not nature that did that.
LikeLiked by 1 person
The columns are painted sometimes, but not in this Cathedral in Sienna! Here is a description:
In one of the few cities in Italy where the main piazza is crowned by a town hall instead of a cathedral, the Duomo of Siena still manages to stand out as Italy’s most majestic church. Composed of alternating stripes of black and white marble and situated at the crown of the city’s hill, Il Duomo is a riot of medieval art, storytelling mosaics and hallowed spaces. Of particular note: Pisano’s ridiculously elaborate pulpit (above right), Bernini’s ecstatic St. Jerome holding the cross like a cradled fiddle (top left), a floor mosaic depicting the Slaughter of the Innocents, and a painted dome that creates an optical illusion of the three-dimensional heavens (above right). This church is a mind blower.

Hat tip to my president.
“Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed. We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate,” Trump wrote.
“I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown. Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial, that would certainly be your prerogative.”
“I look forward to seeing you soon and even more forward to watching our open and dangerous southern border finally receive the attention, funding and security it so desperately deserves!”

And it’s a public embarrassment. Nobody deserves it more. The bus was waiting to drive Nancy and her minions to Andrews.

I love the picture you posted of her luggage. And Little Adam Schiff looks shell shocked. I love that President Trump is keeping his boot on their throats.

Look at the post I just did, with the Fox video. They show the bus waiting for the Congress critters to take them to Andrews AFB. Too bad!

10 reasons today is a good day.
1) The Center for Immigration Studies has filed a lawsuit against the Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC has labeled the CIS as a hate group. The CIS has material evidence that the malicious designation assigned to it by the duplicitous SPLC has had a negative monetary affect on the CIS.
2) Mike Pence
3) Blankets warm from the dryer on a cold winter evening.
4) In a pandering and misguided publicity stunt Nancy Pelosi asked President Trump to postpone the State of the Union address or deliver it in writing, thereby proving Pelosi knows that President Trump is going to devastate the democrats in his speech. And doubly proving that the democrats are still living in a pre-Trump world.
Good.
5) The democrats believe that President Trump is blackmailing Lindsey Graham. Think about that.
6) Nyet faithfully feeds us breakfast every morning and there is always a generous portion of bacon.
7) Spring is 62 days away.
8) Every day is a gift. My cousin is now living his life while dying. It has been well over a year since he was given a diagnosis of 6 weeks to 6 months of daylight left to him.
9) Sooner rather than later President Trump will be nominating a third SCOTUS Justice. And quite possibly a 4th and 5th. This is the power to tilt the world.
10) This never gets old. Never.

Thought I’d post this here too: https://www.propublica.org/article/with-photo-analysis-fbi-lab-continues-shaky-forensic-science-practices?utm_source=pardot&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailynewsletter
So now on top of the political coup the Bureau’s involved in, the manufacture of evidence it’s been caught doing, the use of phony ‘experts’ in trial testimony they’ve been caught in more phony trial-related activity. There’s an agency deeply in need of a high colonic.

Remember when Pelosi said she was the equal of the President?
On Lou Dobbs Ed Rollins and he said that members of Congress would come to the WH and they would say “I’m the constitutional equal of the President of the United States.” and, he would respond, “Go back and get the other 434 other members of Congress and come back and you all are the constitutional equal of the President.”

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Col. Flynn:
Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
