      Her retort to that mother reminds me of this saying: God does not put people in he!!, people put themselves there. It is her choice. Even with good Italian genes as she says, no one lives forever, and some day after a long life where God gave her many gifts, she will be called to to judgement by the Almighty. It all happens in God’s timetable, not ours. Then as my father says, she like all of us “will go to her just reward” – whether that is up or down depends on her. And finally as one of the preists at EWTN said: There are no excuses when you come face to face with the creator of Heaven & Earth.

    I can’t tell whether it’s from 1929 or 1939, but $1,000. was a LOT of money back then!

    So I planned on Sunday paintings of Epiphany, flight into Egypt, and return from Egypt, ending with a beautiful painting of the Presentation on the feast of the Presentation Feb 2nd. However I’m not going to be posting that long before I leave, so I’m just going to post a couple a day now and be ahead of time 🙂

    Here is a painting that for some reason seems to express the coldness of that night. It is very windy and cold tonight here with a dark blue sky and bright stars very similar to the little stars in this painting. I love how the Baby Jesus sort of makes His own light.

    Here is a very lovely cover illustration by Gaffron. I like how it is a 2 part illustration which shows the continuation of the story. I have a couple of others of this format. It is an interesting way of telling a story on one page

      It’s s sad to see what Good Housekeeping had on its cover then and to know what magazines have on their covers now. Imagine if a secular magazine put the Virgin Mary on the cover in today’s day and age. We have lost, or are trying to hide, so much beauty.

    Another example of how a dishonest media manipulates political perceptions and narratives. Multiply it by a thousand times a year, year after year, and you understand the liberal privilege in this country…

    It all started with a single anonymous Twitter account. One account. Anonymous. So anonymous that part of username was “Anonymous”.

    Dave Rubin tweeted:

    I try not to tweet on the weekend but this is on point and important. The story was completely made up. Fake News for all to see. (Also often controversies are started by anonymous accounts that are actually left wing journalists. I’m guessing that’ll be exposed more this year.)

    Benny Johnson posted on Twitter how the anonymous account in the Newsweek article appears to be the only source cited by numerous media outlets that ran with the story:

    Where is the fact-check on this by the “Democracy Dies in Darkness” crowd?

    These outlets are legitimately running fake stories to own the cons for AOC

    Democrats know that the wall is imminent. Is the pending dread more psychologically damaging than the erection of the wall?

    Democrats know that the wall is what will finally break them, and no amount of Democrat and Democrat Media Industrial Complex (DMIC) agitprop will ever tear down the wall. It will be the chasm between the old guard and the burgeoning of Leninism within the party.

    The wall is deserving of proper name capitalization.

    The Democrats know that The Wall will achieve its intent of deterring and preventing mass illegal immigration, which has resulted in an illegal alien population that the federal government has no true, accurate count of.

    The Wall will be the physical affirmation of our historic, theory of black swan, glass-ceiling shattering 2016 win over Empress Clinton. Tax reform and withdrawals from bogus deals with Iran and climate change globalist welfare treaties aren’t palpable; I can’t take a selfie in front of the 2018 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act. United States Supreme Court justices are a bit more tangible, but the court isn’t omnipresent 24/7.

    The Wall, though? That proposed happy marriage of steel, spikes, and concrete? Oh, it will be glorious. I know that President Trump has described The Wall as “beautiful,” but we don’t care if it’s the ugly Christmas sweater of American architecture.

    Want to know how padded rubber room-inducing The Wall is for Democrats? Trump has convinced fiscal conservatives to spend money, and Democrats have talked about saving money, as evidenced here and here.

    The Wall is Mount Rushmore and AR-15s and Confederate statues and the Electoral College and the Gadsden flag all in one. It is a watchtower, a monument to sovereignty, an homage to citizens, law enforcement officers, all Americans who have to worry about not only American criminals murdering them, but those here illegally as well. Ignore the Democrats and Ben Sasses of America, who prattle on about “xenophobia”; fear and greed are the bases for every decision made by the Homo sapiens species. Am I afraid of crimes being committed against me and my family from those who shouldn’t be here? Damn right, I am, and if most of the spineless politicians in Washington acted a bit more fearful, Kate Steinle, Mollie Tibbetts, and Ronil Singh would likely be alive.

        Don’t look for saber-like cuts, look more for medium paper cuts. The amounts of drugs that stream over the border are far too large to be carried by mules humping them thru our southern deserts.
        Right now huge loads get caught coming thru on the roads from Mexico to the US but many of these are sacrifice loads the cartels send through as diversions, far more gets through. The Feds/LEA mention these huge loads – there’s an aspect to that I’ll mention another time – but only the officers at the checkpoints will talk about the huge amounts that get thru and then mostly off-the-record.
        When that California and I-35 accords get up and running the flood of drugs coming into the US will be a tsunami, if you think it’s bad now you just wait.

    I haven’t heard anything about this before. John Kelly, James Mattis, and McMaster were being called “The Committee to Save America.” Here is an interesting discussion about it on The Next Revolution with Steve Hilton. Now I understand a little better what all the hoopla was about them leaving the administration and maybe why President Trump hurried Mattis’ leaving along.

      In my personal knowledge, there was not a single reaction to the various vaccines given to children of my generation. So what is difference in the formulas today over yesterday?

      Btw, this is a BIG cause of Robert DeNiro. Granted, he and his leftist pals may have stepped for once into a worthy cause; but use that knowledge as a cautionary.

        There are some childhood problems that happen to occur at the same time when they are getting their vaccines. I will post a couple of the videos about it later today. The problem is that people confuse coincidence with causation.

        We got fewer vaccines and fewer at a time. I have heard that the flu vaccine doesn’t work for people over 65, but they push it anyway. When my DIL wanted me to get a whooping cough shot after my first grandchild was born, I did. But, they give it in DPT, dyptheria, pertussis, and tetanus, combination. I couldn’t find anyone who had just pertussis by itself.

          Makes no difference, in my opinion. Your child’s body is exposed to much more every day than the minute amount in even 10 vaccinations.

          The result is that people are being frightened (people who aren’t scientists) into withholding vaccines from their children because they had never seen the results of a bad complication from measles, or a child who can’t breathe from pertussis or paralyzed from polio.

          The flu vaccine does work for anybody of any age if they are exposed to the variety of flu that is contained in that particular year’s cocktail. Flu vaccine is very different from vaccines for polio, measles, pertussis etc. because there are many strains of flu, and the viruses mutate.

      I don’t believe this. We don’t know what causes autism. Also, more problems that didn’t formerly have a name are now included in the autism spectrum umbrella.

      I’ll also post a video I recently watched (from Australia) that says there are certain genetic abnormalities that can be triggered by vaccines, but that the condition surfaces whether or not vaccines are given. Another common trigger is fever.

      This is the man I prayed would be chosen as pope. He’s getting old enough that I don’t see any hope for it now.

      He has been a powerful voice in the Church. He is a very Holy and clear thinking man. And he apparently makes the Pope have indigestion with his bluntness. I admire him tremendously.

      If the Catholic Church is to be restored to her true path it will be the African cardinals who lead the way.

    TV Networks Consider Not Airing Trump’s Border Security Address

    Several major television networks are apparently unsure whether or not to air President Trump’s live address to the nation on border security Tuesday due to concern over what he will say.

    According to The Hill, CNN and Fox News Channel are planning to air Trump’s address on border security, while the basic cable networks CBS, NBC, and ABC have not committed one way or the other.

    MSNBC has not made a public comment one way or the other, and the network has repeatedly opted not to air Trump events before.

    Trump plans to address the nation for the first time from the Oval Office Tuesday night on “the humanitarian and national security crisis on our Southern Border.”…

    Many media figures weighed in on social media Monday over the decision.

    CNN’s Brian Stelter tweeted that a “TV exec” told him he was torn on what to do about the address.

    “TV exec texts: ‘He calls us fake news all the time, but needs access to airwaves… If we give him the time, he’ll deliver a fact-free screed without rebuttal. And if we don’t give him the time, he’ll call every network partisan. So we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t,’” Stelter posted…

    It just gets worse from there.

      Stelter is such a liar…”fact-free screed” from our President is what he expects because he doesn’t check what the facts really are. His opinion is what’s without fact. I suppose he thinks the southern border is not a conduit for drugs, human trafficking, terrorists, and those bringing in diseases plus those who take work from American citizens.

      CNN’s search for truth is non-existent.
