    Just threw some turkey pieces in a bowl, added some small-cut broccoli florets, minced onion and olive oil! Soooo good!

    Weird stuff happening on Facebook. I see this stupid post about Medicare for everybody by The People For Bernie Sanders so I click on the feedback button to get rid of it. This prompts one option of unliking the People for The Idiot. WTH? I never liked this group, but it shows I liked them and I’m following them.

    Today’s Painting is one of my favorites, and I’m not sure why. It is “Morning – Catskill Valley” by George Innes

    and this is in honor of all those who cook huge meals for the day, I say Thank You! Hope your feet don’t hurt too much 😉

    and this is how they handled overeating in the pilgrim’s time. They knew Gluttony is one of the 7 deadly sins

      And oh, I love the magazine cover. That’ll be me after Christmas. Maybe not as bad this year. With the whole family dieting so successfully it isn’t likely I’ll be making the hundreds of cookies and ovens full of chex mix that I usually do, but Christmas dinner will be a big one.

    So, I “clean up” some of the nice images I find on the internet & post them here. It is just awful that such nice art would be lost. It has turned into a bit of a hobby. Does anyone know of a company that wouild pay me to restore digital art? I tried looking for one, but all I found was a company in Calif. restoring old films, which I like to watch and would also do repair, but you need special software and to know how to use it. Below is an image I was going to post today, and I decided to post the “before” as well for an example. This was not as dirty or torn as some I have done, but the wrinkles sometimes are a real pain to fix.

      Very nice work TOG&C, I’m of no help with “Does anyone know of a company that would pay me to restore digital art?

      But keeping samples of your work in a portfolio is certainly a good first step 🙂 .

    For the Little guy here is the Gloria, the 3 masted barque training ship & official flagship of the Colombian Navy.

    Here are Tall Ships at Fleet Week sailing on the Hudson River. I think that is the Gloria on the left.

    If he likes art, maritime painters make BIG bucks painting faithful reproductions of the nicer sailing ships. The ones who own the ships are the super wealthy or governments, and they have the money to pay. 😉

    BTW – My 2 brothers and DH are super high IQ, and 1 brother & DH got in trouble in school from boredom. My other brother was physically well coordinated, and truly hyperactive, and somehow he managed to stay concentrating in class, but back then you ran around 2x/day at recess.

    One of the reasons I love That 70s Show was that I was a kid in that era, not quite old enough to be as bad as the kids in this show. The other reason is it is superb comedy, on par with Warner Brothers cartoons, where it’s really funny for kids, where a third of the audience, the middle third, gets the humor on a whole new level, and the later third, age-wise, doesn’t get any of it.

    Me and my dad’s brother watched every episode of this show, when we weren’t watching every episode of M*A*S*H or C.O.P.S. or Little House. We had to stop watching Little House. Two grown-a** men in tears? Are you kidding me? Let’s go back to C.O.P.S., or at least Mayberry.

    I wish I had the whole Little House on the Prarie collection. I’ve seen them all many times, just like MASH and Twilight Zone. I remember a time when television was good.

    I’m SO glad I quit watching television 15 years ago. Fond memories of The A-Team, Knight Rider, and Magnum P.I.

    Everything after that pretty much sucked. Except the Stargate series’. Those were really good.
