The first time I saw New York City doesn’t really count. My family was driving through to visit relatives in Nova Scotia. The second time in 1965 I went there for my birthday trip…stayed at an old hotel called the Barbizon Plaza in a room around the size of a large closet and the price was $12 per night! LOL!

Just now I checked the hotel out online and discovered the following: “In 1988, the hotel was acquired by Donald Trump who converted it into a 340-unit condominium known as the Trump Parc. Trump also purchased the adjacent smaller building at 100 Central Park South (on the southwest corner of Sixth Avenue) that is now known as Trump Parc East.” http://www.nycago.org/Organs/NYC/html/BarbizonPlazaHotel.html

New York was wonderful. The Twin towers were in the future, but I did get to see the Empire State Building and went to the top to look out over the city. I walked all over the place and rode the buses but not the subway, took a visitor’s tour to the Flatiron Building, saw Rockefeller Plaza, Grand Central Station (see https://www.tripsavvy.com/history-of-grand-central-station-nyc-2286951), and went on a tour upstate to West Point.

I was a huge Los Angeles Dodgers fan in those days and the team was in town to play the Mets. Being bold, I called the hotel where they were staying and talked to some of the guys–yeah, the operators used to put callers right through. That was fun! Players were very accessible then and would sign autographs for no fee and were happy to talk to fans in person or on the phone. What a difference from today!

      Beautiful, Menagerie!

God is in the business of healing…the healing of our souls is primary and the greatest gift possible is the gift of belief in Him. One day when Jacob enters Heaven’s gates, he will be all new as will everyone else walking those streets of gold. Praise His Holy Name!

Revelation 21:3-5 (New International Version): And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

uh….Jesse Cardenas did not get the message when he was sneaked into the US that taxpayers have to PAY for that stuff…not his parents, who don’t speak or read any English so they are not ABLE to homeschool him anyway, and he gets free breakfast and lunch at school which he would not have at home anyway…and by the way….soccer players are not going to make much of a long term living simply being entertainment that few folks care about in the USA.

Jesse….you can always go HOME and see what kind of broken crayons you even get there.

When parents were complaining about having to take time off work or some losing their jobs, teachers had no sympathy for them. They kept telling them then they wanted free daycare not free education.

The media though doesn’t much like sharing that side of the story.

When they first started talking about striking I was pretty angry, especially when a bunch of pansy Republicans were so scared of them that they raised my taxes.
After awhile though it became fun playing with them. A large percentage of them are dumb as rocks.
Now I have fun playing with those who filed as candidates. They do not know how to exist in a climate where everyone is not in agreement with them. It is hilarious.

One particular teacher running in my district as a Republican has been the most fun. I started off with easy questions for her; how long have you been a registered Republican, who did you vote for in the last 5 Presidential elections, will you follow the GOP platform, how will you be different than our current representative, do you believe all state departments should be audited.

She answered she had always been a registered Republican, she believes in her votes should be secret, she will have to study the GOP platform, she will have to study our Rep’s voting history, she will have to educate herself on the issues.

She seemed shocked that I could actually find out she had been a registered Democrat until this year and that she had not voted in the last 5 Presidential elections. She also did not like me asking her why we should trust someone who has already lied and one who can’t even do her duty as a civilian and know how her representatives vote.

Then I asked her if she knew she would be taking a pay cut if she won her election.

Then I started asking more detailed questions and she blocked me. lol

So y’all know that I set a goal to reignite my torches and resume my sculpture work, and I just have to share my excitement for today. Today all the old electrical wire will be pulled from the building. For me, this is like the cherry on the top of the sundae, because I will be in possession of copper wire that was smelted and pulled during three different eras. I’m swooning with the thought of working with this stuff.

Oh and yeah, it also means that I will finally have the ability to run a small dorm refrigerator and a microwave…..yep, it looks to be another beautiful day.. :0)

Politico hates that conservatives have a politico

Having taken over and co-opted just about every newspaper in America (only 20 endorsed Trump while 243 endorsed Hillary) the little Marxists are upset to learn that small sites are popping up to fill the need for real news from a sane point of view. Americans want to read news from people who don’t call killing babies “reproductive rights” and who know there are two genders. It’s not that we are hostile to new ideas, it is that we discard the ones that don’t work.

Politico has given birth to babies in state capitals. It wants to abort the conservative ones.

    Of course.

Problem with trying to argue politics or economics with Marxists is there are no definitions of terms except for theirs and those definitions are subject to change as situations dictate.
I had a choice to be an academic or member of the military in the fight against international Communism. I found the military method of dealing with Communists to be far more satisfying and final than just palavering. May be necessary to dust off that option again.
