          Army. Was assigned to Army Aviation. Flew Helicopters, and at time twin engine aircraft.
          Love the aircraft, it’s been a couple of years, illegally test flighted a rebuilt “Huey”…….for a friend…….If I recall, have less than 20h in Huey’s, always flew Hawks to keep my Quals up…..

      Good morning, Nyet! Love me some buffet! We have a buffet restaurant in town, the Golden Corral. Just plunk me down for two hours minimum so I can field graze the huge number of selections.

        Golden Corral used to have a huge desert table, and unlimited access to the food for a set price at the buffet……never saw anyone other than obese folks there at all…..

          I used to love Golden Corral back when they made almost everything from scratch. Not much of it is like that anymore though. Plus people are kind of gross these days and sneeze on the food or touch it.

          My daughter and I the other day ate lunch at Long John Silvers, I had not ate there in forever, but we were out shopping for shoes for the grandbabies and decided to eat lunch there. It surprisingly was pretty good. There was a couple sitting next to us and the man was quite large, he ate three plates of food before we had eaten our one plate. I told my daughter it would have been cheaper for them to have went down the street to Golden Corral. lol

    After anticipating a crowd of 500k, March for Our Lives organizers reported attendance estimated at between 800,000 and 850,000 thousand. The media gobbled this up and headlines splashed with variations on “Largest crowd EVAH” flooded the internet.

    The problem? The real estimate, provided by an independent company, is 200,000, give or take two or three thousand.

    CBS News reports:

    More than 200,000 people attended the March for Our Lives demonstration in Washington D.C. on Saturday, according to Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc (DDIS). The Virginia-based firm uses a proprietary method for calculating crowd size using aerial photos.

    The peak crowd size was 202,796 people, with a margin of error of 15 percent, the firm said. The crowd reached its largest size at 1 p.m., according to the company’s estimates.

    The long awaited morning of completion has arrived for me…in approximately four hours, my home will be opened to a gaggle of realtors and the appearance and sale of the house in no longer in my hands.

    That said….the final project was the wall looking out on the patio and a touch of femininity in an otherwise masculine home design…

    Morning All !
    I’m going to continue posting one artist/subject per week. It saves me a lot of time. Hope that is OK with everyone 😉
    After the flower blossoms, dresses, and cakes of last week, this week we have JF Kernan. His paintings are similar to Norman Rockwell, and he was also a very famous illustrator on the cover and pages of many magazines in the golden age of illustration. This is the painting I found that started my interest in him. Many of his paintings are of daily, positive family life.

    I though it was so funny that the hunter had his eyes on the bird, and the dog is: “Oh- look – a leaf ! “

    Love these kinds of real estate shows, and this British series seems less scripted than the U.S. versions. So if you have a spare 42 minutes, it’s worth the watch just to see the lovely landscapes….”Escape To The Country” [BBC] 09 March 2018

    I just watched the first episode of the new season of Call The Midwife. I shed a few tears in a couple of spots. I heard an interview of the script writer on NPR, and I am sad to say that she thinks that young women today are “lucky” to have legal abortion available to them. I will pray for her, as she is a talented writer.

    CBS News Bombshell: Marjory Douglas Student Leader Wasn’t at School on Day of the Mass Shooting (VIDEO)

    That phony Hogg kid again …

    The bombshell comes from David Hogg himself, who made the admission to a CBS News interviewer as part of the documentary “39 Days.” The program chronicles the birth of the student-led “Never Again” movement that culminated in the “March for our Lives” in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

    “39 Days” has not yet aired, but an excerpt posted online by CBS News (and included below) includes interviews with the students leading the gun control movement, including Hogg, Delaney Tarr, Cameron Kasky, and Emma Gonzalez. Hogg, who describes himself as a “student journalist,” admits he was at home at the time of the shooting, but rode his bike to school to “get as many interviews as I could.”

    That directly contradicts statements he gave to Time Magazine (included below) where he claims to have been in class at the time of the shooting.
