Sorry if this has been posted already BUT IT’S SO GOOD IT DESERVES TO BE POSTED AT LEAST TWICE!!!!!!
Reports are that SCOTUS Justice Anthony Kennedy will retire this summer!!!!! Trump gets another bite at the SCOTUS apple! If that’s true then he’ll be able to get his pick in before any November Congressional changes AND Mississippi’s new tough abortion law will go in front of a conservative court!

Well hopefully it will start doing us some good, so far they seem to just be refusing to hear cases.

The average SCOTUS age is written in Roman numerals and it’s hard to tell if they lean left because of their politics or if the Razadine is causing vertigo. Get thsat conservative majority and I bet they’ll start hearing cases. Let’s not forget Ginsberg is about ready to self-compost too.

I don’t think that will happen until she’s carried out with a sheet over her head.
I can work with that too.
Then let the singers sing “Oh Happy Days”,,,,,

Not from me.
She’s been self composting for years already. Walking dead.
One of those problems with that ‘asppointed for life’ thing. Some of ’em don’t know when they’re dead.
I just saw this on CL. This has to be about the ugliest concrete statue ever made.
Are they sure it isn’t on of those hats from a protest left in their front yard?
It does kind of resemble that. I think they’d have to pay me to take it.
Whew! What an eyesore!
DH has an ugly concrete alligator in our yard. At least he hasn’t tried to paint it, so it sorta blends in with it’s coat of mossy lichens. I’m sure if he painted it bright green, it would fit right along side this monstrosity!
You have to wonder why anyone would want to buy it.
Some Hillary supporter divesting his/her campaign souvenirs? It’s ugly enough to be public art.

Thank you Lucile, you also…..
You’re welcome, Colonel! It’s a beautiful, sunny day in my neck of the woods. Hope it’s the same for yours.
Good Morning Lucille! My favorite flowers – thank you!
I love the line from the movie, You’ve Got Mail, where Meg Ryan’s character, Kathleen Kelly says, “I love daisies…. they’re so friendly. Don’t you think daisies are the friendliest flower?” It’s a great movie, a great line, and absolutely true! I think it every time I see daisies. 😊
That’s true, S&S! I planted some shasta daisies a couple of years ago and when I see them I smile every time! Hope your Saturday is swell!
😊 Thanks, Lburg! I hope yours is too.
I was told yesterday that decomposing humans are the best food for daisies.
Hence the term, “pushing up the daisies”.
Huckleberries, too, my biologist friend said.
Hey, I can’t confirm.
M’fer’s an atheist leftist. Strong possibility of complete bulls**t.
Good day, Lburg. Looking forward to flower season and planting some newbies in my pots.
Good morning Miss Lucille! Thank you for the beautiful greeting. Have a blessed day!
Good day, sand! Thanks! And I think exactly the same about that line in YOU’VE GOT MAIL. That’s one of my all-time fav flicks.
Blessings Lucille 🙂 !
Thanks, lovely! A lot to be thankful for.
Scotland from Above: Edinburgh to Fingal’s Cave Route (HD)
This is where my daughter has agreed to fling my ashes! From the train window! We could see the Forth Rail Bridge from our bedroom window in our little house in Rosyth.
It was always so exciting to see DH’s ship coming home under the bridges. We would always wait at the dockyards where they would have a band and a meal for families that gathered for a reunion after months at sea. The dockyard was just a short walk from our house, and we went to the base quite a lot for swimming in the pool, or entertainment in the club.
It sure was a different way of life than these 2 gals from GA were used to living, lol.
I want to go there.
That bridge is a masterpiece.
I’m not allowed to say this any more, but I love what w***e people can do.
Many other civilizations, proto-civilizations, and pre-civilization on Earth will never, ever be able to construct that, or do the civil engineering and city planning that w***e people can do. History bears that fact out.
I dare Africa, or the Middle East, or Central and South America, to invent even a boat. Or steel. Or refrigeration. Not going to happen.
We landed a spacecraft, remotely, on a comet. And build that bridge.
They created great music. There’s that, I guess.
Wooly, there’s a carpark beneath that bridge in North Queensferry that you can park and go shopping in the village. Just to look up and see that ginormous bridge will make you weep! There are even bodies of workers who fell into the pylons, that they couldn’t remove, so they were left there. A memorial plaque is there. Built in 1898, it is a beautiful thing to behold!
Well I remember a Anthro prof telling us that the reason we don’t find evidence of Africa’s ancient advanced sub-Saharan civilizations is because they were made out of wood and the termites done et’ ’em. Sounds good to me.
It’s really tough nowadays, the complete BS we’re supposed to believe.
And there is so much of it.
They will never invent circumnavigation, a compass, a boat.
So sorry, but it’s true.
It’s worse – this was many many years ago, long before the mildew of political correctness infected the land. Now apologism has become an official doctrine.
That was so cool! If in eve a gr to visit Scotland, at least I will have had this great tour!
Oops. If I never get to visit…
Incredible footage. Most of it with drones and GoPros, I imagine.
So my Daddy should have a gun but you shouldn’t.
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg has been an outspoken advocate for stricter gun laws since a teenager with an AR-15 killed 17 people at his school.
Hogg’s mother, Rebecca Boldrick, says she contacted the FBI this week because threats against her family have continued to appear on Facebook. Boldrick had previously reached out to the FBI and local law enforcement last month, and she said the Broward Sheriff’s Office assigned a deputy to patrol her neighborhood.
Boldrick said she’s taking the threats seriously but isn’t letting them change her daily routine. She notes that her husband is a former FBI agent and carries a gun at all times.

Well if the FBI, did not take action the first time…….
I have a lot of opinions about this, but none of them are appropriate for this forum. My mama always said, if you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. 😉
I was taught that too, but when it comes to punks telling people they don’t have a right to something I make an exception.
For starters teenagers are a pain in the you know what, we all know that. Second, I would have given his parents the benefit of the doubt over one stupid kid, but his sister is just as stupid. The parents are a couple of idiot lefties who raised a couple of ignorant commies who need a trip behind the woodshed.
For their hypocrisy alone, the parents need to get taken to the woodshed too. It’s okay for this she-devil to have her husband be armed because of threats made against them online, but I, a young single woman, should have to jump backwards through hoops to be armed? Or be stripped of my right to be armed altogether because some loon came on to this woman’s precious gun free zone and proved why gun free zones are bad ideas?
I have some choice words for this useless steaming pile of liberal hypocrisy.
And she wonders why she is getting death threats.
I would never threaten them with death, but if that punk teenage boy thought he would spew his bs to me, I’d certainly set him straight.
If more kids had trips behind the woodshed, the world would be a better place.
Parents let kids run wild anymore. Since we have people that come and look at animals we have to deal with brats and parents who seem to think our farm is a playground.
I’ve been tempted more than once to teach them a little respect, something their parents obviously have never taught them.
I’ve also been tempted to take their parents out behind the woodshed.
It’s getting that time of year again, so I’m doing as I do every year and dreading the brats. I ask my DH every year how much trouble he thinks I’d get into if I started roping them like calves. 🙂
The parents need it, for sure!!!!
Love it, MS-13 virtually controls the I-95 corridor and the State’s trying to limit lawabiding citizen’s access to weapons.
Yeah, I know the drill, fewer civilian guns means fewer avaqilable for criminals like MS-13 to access. Sure, they’ve been into weapons trafficking for decades but most of them come from international sources. MS-13’s been providing RPGs and MANPADS to Central and South American rebels for years and they don’t get them at gun shows or flea markets.
So while Trump’s trying to quash MS-13 (good luck with that) and the Federal and swtate governments are trying to understate MS-13’s true danger we’re going to disarm the citizens.
I guess Illinois has a bill to do just that. It goes beyond 18 to 20 year old buying rifles and wants those guns turned in.
Yeah, just turn it over to older brother por Dad. Wonder if Barry’s bros in South Side will hand over theirs?
It’s a bunch of bs. An 18 year old has just as much of a right to a gun as I do. Not to mention they’re talking confiscation, but they’re not commies. Yeah right.
Well, if s/he wants a gun at 18 s/he should join the militaryv and fight wars Democrats have caused.
That’s how full of crap it is, an 18 year old can die in war holding a gun, but heaven forbid an 18 year old be able to defend themselves.
Just think it wasn’t that long ago when a much younger teen could save up their money and go to the local hardware store and buy a rifle. Of course that was before lefties screwed up everything they touched.
I like the NOLA government’s plan – keep honest and lawabiding citizens from having guns so that they won’t be stolen by thugs and used to shoot other thugs. “It’s not the thug’s fault that thy’re bad, it’s all those paranoid folks who work for a living and buy a gun – THEY cause you to be bad.
IF we allow these states to get away with this 18 crap, next it will be if you’re over a certain age and then it will be no guns.
This slippery slope is getting more slippery in a hurry.
That’s their plan, incremental gun control thru a thousand cuts.
IL is a state that if I didn’t have family there my feet would never touch the ground. I’ll never forget being in my Conceal Carry Class and the instructor explain reciprocity laws, one poor kid asked “If I can’t conceal carry in Illinois can I open carry?”
The poor guy, more than half the class laughed out loud and somebody said “Only if you want to eat concrete. You’ll be face down on the pavement the second a cop sees you.”
It’s a state you will never catch me anywhere near.
Liberals are always hypocrites.
We can’t repel irony of this magnitude!

That’s awesome! Mornin’ WeeWeed!
Mornin’ B! You hangin’ in there?
Good Morning Wee. (Waves crocodile tail)
Good one!!!! Wasn’t someone on here saying that they found a purse in their granny’s attic that was alligator and had the head on it? 😳😳😳
I think it was Wooly. Not sure if he was joking or serious.
My mom actually had one of those. It was terrifying to me!
I’m so sorry!!!! I would have been mortified if my mom had carried one of those in public!
Luckily, S&S, it WAS in vogue at the time and I was entirely too young to care one way or the other except for the skeeve factor of course.
Turn about is fair play, though. I totally freak her out when I wear my gardening sneakers to her doctor’s appointments.
if one had appeared in parts of Louisiana, I suspect they would attempt to cook the purse.
In the French Quarter tourists can buy (among other things, many of which cannot be mentioned on a family website) a dried alligator head (price increasing with size). Last spring a friend from Montana visited here, & had to decide between a frou-frou painted ceramic mask & an alligator head as a gift for her 12 year old son. I convinced her the alligator was the preference for all boys (based on personal experience with Czar’s middle son). She texted me he was ecstatic upon opening his gift, & was the hit of his school!
Yes, an alligator head would definitely be the best pick for a 12 year old boy. LOL
When we visited down there, a woman on the trip got an alligator head for her son.
Yes there are lots of things down there that should not be mentioned…me, I got a Mardi Gras mask. They had a lot of masks I liked down there. Shame I could only get one.
Oh my goodness, I just remembered that when my sister was maybe in 4th grade, she was the proud possessor of a stuffed baby dwarf caiman. Seems to me she won it at the Los Angeles County Fair. LOL! She loved that thing!
Those used to be very popular.
Wow! Really? That’s just weird.
Hm. I had a thought. I lived in Gitmo and later in Florida. Probably where they were the most popular.
I’ll tell you what was worse than that darn purse.
My great grandmother, who was alive until I was in my teens, had a critter stole that she wore around her neck and shoulders. There was an alligator clip (HA) under the head and the head clipped onto a cloth covered metal loop hidden in the tail fur. It was REalLY gross!
Oh geez!!!! That could scare a child to death!!!
Chinese buy the heck out of farmed alligatorts ’round here, they love those hides for shoes, boots and whatever. You can go to Hong Kong and get boots/shoes made to your feet, while you wait, out a a dizzying array of skins. I have a nice pair made out of caiman.
And the caiman was renerable, fair trade AND gluten free!
Sorry, ‘renewable’, racist eye dialect was a mistake…funny though…
Good Lord, I gotta start cleaning my glasses befoe I post, ‘Alligatorts’, sounds like a suit you’d file for damages after being assaulted by a gator. Hard time getting your judgement paid though, I understand they keep their money in the Caiman Islands. Czarina says that’s, not btrue, it’s all a croc.
Alligator. And they are real.
The baby alligator head was on the flap.
When you have Grandma’s whole house to explore, all three floors — you sometimes see things that give you pause, and you never want to touch them again. This was one of them.
I imagine so!
Oh bummer!!!! 😳
Coulda been a hongry Cajun….
Reckon croc tastes like gator?? Mornin’ Z!
Put enough roux or red gravy on it and anything tastes good…take that concrete pig on Craig’s List for instance.
Good afternoon Wee 🙂 .
Hmmm I didn’t hear that Hillary was going to Australia before this warning.
G’day, WeeWeed. Well, it’s a cinch a Roo didn’t do the deed…
So who did? Human maybe getting his new boot leather?
I’m guessing…..a great white. The crocs down there are saltwater.
The great white crossed my mind but I thought, nah, would they be in the same habitat? Now I know. Thanx!

Looks good. I’m hungry this AM. Mornin’ Nyet, everyone. 🙂
Good Morning Suave Server of Sausages and Thanks Nyet! Good Morning Stellars….Saturdays are holidays, right?
“Lou’s arteries congealed as she recalled the pounds of butter that went into the meal and the two pies cooling in the kitchen. But you couldn’t skimp on butter on a holiday, and any substitute would feel wrong to a girl born and raised in the Dairy State. At least she’d resisted putting cheese in half the dishes.” ~ Amy E. Reichert, The Coincidence of Coconut Cake
Butter. Always!!!! 😉
I start putting butter in the basement refrigerator in October or November. I can’t say how much of it I use during the holidays, but I can tell you that I can’t afford to buy it all at one time. Nuts and butter are big seasonal purchases.
I buy and freeze butter whenever it is on sale. I freeze nuts also. They both freeze well.
I freeze nuts too. Never thought about freezing butter.
It works great.
Freezing butter? Who knew? What a great idea! Every once in a while the grocery will have butter on sale and I get maybe four pounds at once. Now I can get eight or ten and freeze them. Thanx!
Lips that touch margarine will never touch mine!
Morning Nyet! Thanks and happy Saturday!
good afternoon Nyet 🙂 !
Good day, Nyet! I’m not greedy…I’ll just take it all. And a little breakfast tea, too…though I just might still be hungry afterwards….
Sounds like my son. He would have a snack before a meal, eat, and then ask what he could have after. SMH He started when he was 5 mo. old. He was nursing, but started demanding food. I made about a 1/4 c. of oatmeal and only gave him a little taste. He screamed until he got the whole 1/4 c. What is funny is that his second daughter is so much like him and her mama says she already loves food. LOL
One of my favorites since it has such variety & color.

Those two pictures don’t belong together. Audie Murphy was someone to be respected, I don’t care what happened in his later life. That dope on the right who stands for males who are being raised today will never equal him. 😦
That’s absolutely perfect!!!! Truth!
No beta cucks allowed! I sure hope my kiddo turns out to be a mentally healthy and acute young man.
He will if you allow him to face the consequences of his own actions as he ages, and you give him age appropriate responsibility. Lots of it. Manhood requires strength. It starts and grows throughout childhood, and especially the teen years.
young boys need men in their lives to grow up as real men, and no nanny influencing because someone wants them not to experience painful stuff and honest consequences….they are capable of enduring the growing up, if they do not get their noses wiped and bottoms powdered when they can do it themselves. Many try to shield them from pain, and cripple them for life….big huge parenting mistake.
He has a responsibility chart and definite consequences. Im the major caretaker and disciplinarian, plus homeschool on non preschool days. Exhausting but I have to do it.
Good on you!
I was having lunch one day with an actor who was good friends with Audie Murphy. It must have been around the time Murphy died because his name wouldn’t have just come up out of nowhere otherwise. Anyway, he told me that Murphy had PTSD (though I don’t think that was the term he used–maybe battle fatigue?) and rather severe symptoms at times.
I’m sure that is right. How could he not?
Well… you can’t cure stupid. It would be so fabulous if the wave in November is a huge red one that is full of Trump supporters and we effectively shut the Dems out for at least a generation?
Time for the Raty champions of the poor and downtrodden to push the election of protectors of the rich. Karma is a bitch.

For the lurkers and the regulars whom know Vietnam era vets who set foot in Vietnam for even ONE DAY and those who served on ships in certain waters or flew on Ranch Hand aircrafty even after the war.
Yet another of my Army comrades is in the hospital with severe complications from diabetes. Like many he didn’t know that if you set foot in Vietnam, anywhere, even once you qualify for a disability fot the diabetes and any complications arising from it. There are other conditions that qualify but diabetes seems to be the most common. These conditions are Agent Orange related and if you were in Vietnam anywhere you are presumed to have come into contact with it. If you are a VN vet with diabetes or any of the other conditions you have to file with the VA and if you have one or more conditions and have proof of VN service the granting of the disability is pretty well guaranteed. You just provide the VA with the proof of service (usually a certified DD214) and have your doc(s) fill out a VA standard form.
This is best done by having one of your state’s veteran service offices do the paperwork for you
as one teeeeeeny slip and the VA shoots it back at you and you have to start over, These service officers are trained on how to do it right the first time and have contacts with the VA and work for YOU, not the government.
Most important is that if you even think you have one of these conditions you contact the VA main number and tell them you will be filing for an Agent Orange related condition, whether you have an existing VA file or not. Reason is that if you call and establish you will be filing a claim your payments will start from the day you file the claim. If you just file the paperwork your payments won’t start until the day the VA approves the claim. In my case that was 11 months of payments I’d have missed had I not callked first as it took them nearly a year to approve a claim they couldn’t disapprove.
On the darker side, if you expire from a cause that can directly be relasted to Agent Orange your spouse may be able to receive a Disability and Indemnity Compensation payment for the rest of her life. That’s a seperate action by an office related to the military branch you served in but when both you and your disability end it’s nice to leave a little something behind.
So if you are a VN vet, or know one, check out the VA site: https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/claims-postservice-agent_orange.asp
to see what’s up. The VA didn’t really asdvertise the program or the various conditions connected to Agent Orange (the list is growing longer) as it means they have to do more of the work they’re paid to do, their position is that it’s your responsibility to dig thru their sites and find out what you’re eligible for.
I just read that. Im about to cry. My dad had 2 very significant complications on that list and was in Vietnam more than once. He died 16 years ago.
Mine handlesd Agent Orange, ewe alternated tours in VN. He was in ’41 to ’71 and wanted a VN tour as they promised him his final tour anywhere and he wanted to go back to England for a tour as hjis old bomb group was building a memorial there and having a reunion.
He died April of ’84 from an Agent Orange related cancer but it took nearly a decade of fighting under the old system fior my Mom gert compensation under the old lawsuit.
My mother wouldnt fight for anything and now shes just always sick too. I aam happy yours had the fight and won, even if it wasnt everything.
What she won, by the time theAgent Orange laywers’ fees were figured in and by the time they figured in the decedent’s ‘worth’ at thr time of his/her death she received a check for less than $50. I don’t think she ever cashed it, the government’s concept of my Dad’s worth after 30 years and three wars withthe military was more valuable.
Its a disgrace but the “win” was put in stone. TY to you and your dad.
Waaaaaay back when I was in elementary schoolhe cand his military cronies told me that the government loved the military when it needed us to fight the wars they started but as soon as the war was over don’t expect **** as the danger was gone and so were their promises. The only thing you can count on is a check every two weeks or a month (depending on service) and anything more than that is gravy.
Aww. I loved this story about a waitress who cut up an elderly man’s meat for him. She is rewarded for her kindness. (A small screen will come up asking you to allow ads, but you can remove it by clicking on the “x” just on the top right corner outside the box)

Stella, they are advertising that there will be a two hour special on that murdering OJ starting at 8:00 Sun. night. That is when the Billy Graham special was supposed to be on. It is still listed that way on my TV listing, but I am seeing the ads on FOX for the OJ thing. Any thoughts. I just thought I should share this in case there are people who are looking forward to the Bill Graham show.
My local cable company still shows the Billy Graham program at 8:00 pm on FOX NEWS. The OJ Simpson program is on our local Fox affiliate (over the air, free channel).
See, you so smart. I figured you could figure it out. LOL
WHY would anyone be interested in watching a program on OJ? I saw a headline which said a long-lost “confession” was found. Oh, excuse me! If a confession was “lost” then whoever lost it should spend the rest of his life in lock-up, too.
I believe it is OJ reading from his script of “If I did it” or whatever the name of his book is. It’s pure crap. Sad part is there will be a lot of BLM folks cheering as they watch it because a black thug got away with savagely murdering 2 white devils.
I believe the “confession” part comes from when he is talking and slips up and says “I”.
Ah! thank you I did read that and forgot about it. Scumbag.
Yes. Let me repeat. SCUMBAG!!!!
Just started ratatouille – got it all chopped, browned, combined, spiced, and put in the oven to marinate. Smells good!
Yum! I LOVE ratatouille! Do you put it in crepes, or over rice, or how?
I’m just having it as a side with leftover roast beef. Another good way is for breakfast – put the ratatouille in a dish (like a pie plate) and nestle eggs in the mixture, and cook them in the oven.
Ohhh, that sounds excellent. I’ve made ratatouille omelets before, somewhat similar. I love it in crepes.
Both of those sound good too!

I can’t imagine doing it at 65, much less 13 more years from now. Jim’s kennel is named Northern Whites Dog Kennel and ALL his dogs are white. I don’t know how he tells them apart. Some have unique markings, but most are just solid white. Like built-in camoflage.
The fifth day winds down and Nic Petit continues to hold the lead, with a 10 mile gap on Mitch and Joar who are neck-and-neck in second and third positions. They are about 50 miles from Kaltag, where they can get off the Yukon River and out of the wind. Yesterday afternoon it was a 15 mile gap, so Mitch and Joar have made up some time on Nic. About 5 miles back from Mitch and Joar are a trio of teams chasing the leaders which includes my friend Pete. Most of the teams are moving at an average speed of 7-8 miles per hour, so an 8-10 mile gap is a comfortable lead, but can be eaten up quickly if a team encounters any problem that requires stopping for any length of time. Weather remains a big factor in that.
Aliy continues to hold 10th or 11th position. A brief Insider video clip of her with the dogs this morning showed the dogs looking good, but her saying that they just don’t have any “zip”. They are healthy, they are eating well, they are ready to run; just not to run fast. At least not as fast as Nic, Mitch, and Joar.
Hang in there Aliy! It ain’t over til it’s over! May your team find their rocket gear!
The third musher I’m following closely is Mike Williams, Jr., from Aniak. He is one of the few (or the only? I’m not sure) Alaska Native mushers in this year’s race. I’m friends with his dad, Mike Williams, Sr., who ran many Iditarods before retiring from racing dogs, and I’ve known Jr. since he was a little kid. He’s a good man, with a typically-Yupik quiet style to him. This is his 8th Iditarod. He usually finishes in the top 30.
Here’s a great photo of Jr. and his team from early in the race. I bought prints of this one to send to Jr. and Sr. both.
Those are beautiful dogs!
Only planned on lurking mostly today because of work, but saw this extremely important, but disturbing news, and had to post it. Please forward this info to everyone you know, and make sure nothing like this is planned for your state. There should be a federal law against this – oh wait there is! We Banned the Buying and Selling of People when we Banned Slavery – didn’t we?!
Washington Just Legalized Human Trafficking, Babies Can Now Be Bought and Sold Commercially
Posted by Matt Agorist “House Democrats voted to legalize the purchase and sale of human babies.” – 42nd District Rep. Luanne Van Werven, R-Lynden. Washington State
Over the years, as countries have legalized “commercial surrogacy,” once they realize the horrors that it creates, they proceed to ban it as it creates a market for children to be bought and sold like commodities with no oversight as to where the babies end up. After watching children being openly sold to human traffickers, in 2015, both Thailand and Nepal banned the act. In 2016, Mexico also banned commercial surrogacy, followed by India last year, and Cambodia this week.
After the bill’s passage, house member Van Werven did not mince words when she noted that the bill quite literally legalizes the sale of babies. “I would say that ‘human decency’ died in the dark this morning around 1 a.m. at your WA State Capitol. House Democrats voted to legalize the purchase and sale of human babies. For House Republicans,… We all voted ‘no’ to protect the womb from being monetized and commercialized.
This bill sets virtually no limits on the amount people will be able to sell or purchase a human baby for.” “What have we become as a state, selling human babies to the highest bidder? Is this who we are? I asked these questions on the House floor during the final debate. In its current form as it passed out of the House, the bill even permits convicted felons to purchase human babies.” Because of the loopholes in commercial surrogacy laws, the “parents” who purchase the babies do not undergo the same screenings as parents who are trying to adopt. Instead, they simply create a contract, pay money, and purchase a baby. Anyone with enough money—including human traffickers—will be able to go to Washington state, starting on Jan. 1, 2019, and purchase a human baby, no questions asked. As the website ThemBeforeUs points out, we will never be able to track who is buying these children and where they are being taken. …..We won’t know that he (a trafficker) has turned to surrogacy instead of plucking children off the street at the Port Authority bus terminal in order to prostitute them. Conveniently for him, “intended parent” offers far fewer entanglements than does kidnapping runaways.
If you think this sounds alarmist, consider the fact that people have been caught using commercial surrogacy ‘‘for the sole purpose of exploitation.’’ A couple in Austraila was sentenced to 40 years in prison after they were found to have bought a baby through commercial surrogacy and then sold him for sex almost immediately after he was born. This little boy was born into a world of sexual abuse that went on for years all thanks to the commercialization of children.
Ironically enough, lawmakers across the United States and in Washington are pushing for stricter background checks when people purchase guns but as this law illustrates, if you want to buy a baby, no background check is needed. for the full article go to:
I hate to be a cynic, but this is the logical extension of abortion. If that child has no value inside the womb, why would anyone care for it’s well-being outside the womb?
Aren’t there more R’s than D’s? How did that happen?
I just made orange crayon playdoh. It is very bright. Will see how long it lasts for the effort.
Going to make the crayon candles next. Need a wick…
Lady Antebellum – Never Alone – Lyrics
Great comment by Stormyeyes at 9:50 am in the Open Thread next door:
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?”The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”
May be this was one of the best explanations to the concept of GOD.
