   I wonder what the story was of the bouquet of flowers. Someone from the left handed it to P. Trump and he passed it on to someone on the right, who carried it back to the left and it seemed like it got passed around and then handed back to him. And, he went back to the right with it. Curious.

   Not much being said about Xi being there and his Party-level talks with the Vietnamese. Folks forget that after the US left Vietnam and China fought a really bad war that lingered, to one degree or another, until 1990.
   During that war Russia supplied tons and tons of equipment to VN but didn’t intervene, showing VN that despite Russia considering VN important it didn’t consider it important enough to risk going to war with China over. Thing is that China had told BOTH the US and Russia that it was going to invade VN and neither let on to VN what was going to happen. I can understand the US keeping mum but Russia was VN’s major supporter/supplier during our war there with China coming in number two.
   So here we have the Vietnamese leaders sitting down with what they could consider to be the most duplicitous troika in their modern times (Putin was there too) discussing where wee go from here. Wonder if anyone in the kitchen spit in the pho?

     Nam was all about ‘The Domino Theory’ so now here we are with the last domino about to fall ‘Right Here, Right Now’ unless Trump can stop them.

       New group of ***holes running the show, we did our best but ‘they’ managed to grab defeat from the jaws of victory (see Desert Storm, Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan…) and I’m just too tired to do it all over again. Maybe a Ragnarok is what we need to clear the decks, make people realize what they lost and see if they really, REALLY want to work and sacrifice to regain what we lost.
