   This piece at AT pulls together several examples of the current nonsense, and then goes on to provide historical episodes and highlight the dishonesty of the parties involved.

   I notice over many sites that this kind of dot-connecting is accumulating, and I sure do hope that it’s cumulative in its impact.

   Even though it won’t persuade the unAmericans, the impact should encourage those who have needed clear affirmation that their instinctive revulsion against the lies has strong, factual basis.

   Decades have slipped under our feet in which millions of good-hearted, normal Americans thought that everyone thought as they did, saw reality as they did. That sense has been ripped away since the Clinton years, and stomped on publicly throughout the obama years. The pushback is painful and slow in coming into focus for those who have had trouble believing that “it really is this bad”.

   Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what see. Trust your own in instincts and knowledge first – and then, as possible, identify facts that affirm your gut.
