Trump is the first president in decades to confront the UN with its ‘the emperor be buck nekked’ problem.
Try finding a UN ‘peacekeeping’ operation that, without adult supervision by the US or a civilized European nation, has been successful. Note that in operations vital to US or European interests NATO’s used and not the UN. Even with a limited use of US or European troops the US or NATO spends time backstage making sure the mess holds together.
We have numerous African situations where the UN’s used US, Canadian and/or NATO troops that have had personnel killed and/or placed in mortal danger through the UN’s incompetence and Monte Pythonesque command and control. We need to say that any UN operations that include US personnel have US or competent and accountable NATO leadership operating under realistic rules of engagement.
    Go gettum Trump Team.
