The poop may be getting closer to the air circulation device in New Orleans.
Tomorrow, smack on the last day of Jazz Fest while thousands of tourists are in town, there are planned demonstrations at the Confederate memorials. These are approved and well orchestrated demonstrations and few believe that certain unnamed political entities aren’t heavily involved.
The mayor and chief of police have declared these events of ‘homeland security’ importance, bringing outside LEA and Federal LEA in to assist in control. I talked to bodies tonite who saidvthat the local LEA are a bit uneasy as this is a staged political event and they are walking a tight rope, especially with the activity surrounding the Sterling dog and pony show in Baton Rouge. If the police under act, they get pinged for not serving and protecting, if they overreact they get dinged for brutality. The mayor, who started this whole thong, will get to score political brownie points regardless of how it comes out, only the police lose.
The mayor started all of this, wielding his dictatorial sword and unilaterally demanding the monuments come down rather than put it to a democratic vote. Had he have done so he probably would have won but he just couldn’t share the prog limelight with the Great Unwashed who elected him, he made the proclamation then went to the City Council for their rubber stamp. He even went so far as to secretly remove one monument, placing firefighters in mortal danger that is not in their job description, on a day planned to be an insult to various groups who didn’t sgree with him. It was a planned provocation using city workers as pawns, just as the demonstrations will be today.
God forbid this planned provocative confrontation results on casualties, but if they do the bodies can be laid right at Mayor Landrieu’s feet.

Just read on Twitter that NO police have said no masks, no guns, no weapons of any kind for either side.

Yeah, chief said that. He’s a mayoral puppet but he’s using existing city laws. City’s had a ‘no mask/hood’ law for decades but it’s duspended for Mardi Gras and generally not enforced period, it’s there for convenience. Ditto the ‘no guns at parades’ law that can be extended to almost any gathering.
Many of us believe the announcement was gor convenience, showing the people that the mayor and the chief were on the front lines standing between them and revanchist, racist barbarians. Also removes from anyone arrested for mask/gun violations the ‘no one said anything’ defense.
Cops ain’t none too happy about this, they’re out managing a mess created by a politician for political ends and not fighting crime.

And a mayor who created this brew in hopes of salvaging a waning political career. He was lieutenant governor prior to getting elected mayor but it’s going to be tough getting elected again. Looks like he and his sister will go back to living off the family’s name and parking lot revenues.

It’s less about censorship than it is defining control. Revolutionaries like to capture the doctrinal high ground and cobtrol the narrative, makes it easier to put dissenters into the camps with minimal disturbance to the grazing sheeple.

Ladt Tursday I was in NOLA and wife was at home. She deceided to walk the 900 feet to the mailbox rather than take the ATV. She also had the pit-lab mix with her. On the way back from the box the dog ran up vehind her at a good clip and his head caught her on the back of the left knee…down she went. Not having me here she had no recourse but to scoot the 300 feet, on her butt, from where she went down to the house. She called me, I came home and we slent a lovely time in the localish ER…got out at 4:30 in the early AM. Seems she has a tibial plateau fracture, busted in a whole buncha pieces.
She’s wearing a leg brace, the specialist wants to see if it will heal without surgery, so she’s stiff-legged and out of commission for about eight weeks. Rather than pop percosets for that time she’s elected to take one in the AM if she needs it and one before she goes to bed so she can sleep and in case she moves the broken area. Rest of the time she’s using buffered aspirin and lecithin.

Main problem is that ATT is, or until Wednesday was, our provider. They don’t have a tower close enough for our cells to work. I’d just changed to Verizon (after eight years I can now make a cell call from my livingroom) but she hadn’t.
I’d mentioned earlier she should take the ATV but she wanted exercise…’I told you so’ is inadvisable at the present time.

well…not to be tacky, but New Orleans IS a former French joint….so the white flag govt is no surprise when they need to be all liberal and take down history that they don’t like.

I suspect if the Hispanics get all frothy at the mouth and decide the Alamo in San Antonio and the monuments to Texas heros need to be torn down, there will be a lot of injured taco munchers on the ground, some not likely to get up very easily, if at all.

Some folks need to stand and be counted….not just march and wave banners and flags.

Yeah, you’d think the Tex-Mexs would be placing candels at the Alamo as it was the genesis for the huge ‘y’all jes wade on over’ free lunch program they now enjoy. Of course we have that counter arguement that Texas was once Mexican until we stole it away but then they did such a wunnerful job with the big chunk of Mexico they kept…

We’ve come to understand that who we are is who we were–John Quincy Adams from the movie Armistad

Our ancestors are mere dust and ashes, save when they speak to posterity through the record of their deeds and achievements; and then their voices resound not from below, but from the heavens above. There is an eloquence in Memory, because it is the nurse of Hope; there is a sanctity in the Past, but only because of the chronicles it contains, stepping-stones of the progress of mankind, stepping-stones in civilization, in liberty, and in knowledge. Our fathers forbid us to recede. They teach us what is our rightful heritage; they bid us claim, they bid us augment that heritage, preserve their virtues, and avoid their errors. These are the true uses of the Past, uses teaching us to retain and to perpetuate what was secured by toils, sufferings, sacrifices, patriotism, and consecrated by the martyrs of the Alamo, by the blood of Goliad, and by the triumphs of San Jacinto. Cursed are we who forget the past, but pray and don’t despair

        • The problem with learning history is that if you learn it, you’re still forced to watch those who know nothing about it keep repeating it. With that said, I blame public education for a lot of this. But I suspect the dishonesty about American history was 100% intentional. You can make people believe anything if they don’t know the truth.

To follow up on your quotes, joshua, I’m reminded of Gavin DeGraw’s song “I Don’t Want To Be” where he sings, “Part of where I’m going is knowing where I’m coming from.”

So I still have this $5 scratch-off lottery ticket I bought two days ago.

I go in to my dismal job at three o’clock this afternoon. I am tempted to give it to the lazy dindoo (one of them) when I go in. Every day that I work with him is his lucky day. Why? Because I didn’t slap his cellphone out of his hand, snap it over my knee and throw it in the garbage, and go back to working my butt off.

I’m not going to win anything scratching off the ticket. I know this from long experience.

Lazy dindoo wins every time I work aside his lazy, texting, smack-talking self and I don’t punch him in his face while he somehow still has a “job”. He has great and good luck. Amazing luck. Maybe he’ll win with my scratch ticket, too.

Chef goes on a much-deserved vacation in a few days. I get to listen to hard-core violent gangster rap for ten days. Can’t wait. (When the cat’s away, the mice will play…) which triggers my co-“workers” like talking about cocaine to a former addict, makes them puff up and wanna beat someone to death, and makes me want to push the Big Red Button and rid the world of all of them, forever.

I’m in a bad place, mentally.

Glad to see you’re here and posting, Mary…just saw an investigative report on the whatever national MSM channel…shame on you successful people!
Seems that the crash pad fire in Frisco thst killed so many under appreciated and life-choice oppressed arteests was DIRECTLY due to the outrageously high rent in the Bay Area!!! Why the investigators discovered that a family of four earning $105-thousand acyear is considered low-income in the Bay whereas it’s just $76k in NYC.
So expect resolution through social progressive redistribution schemes in the near future. Just because someone who wants to live inside of the city doesn’t have the skills to earn as much as the professionals who do isn’t FAIR! So prrhaps they’ll do what New Orleans did many years ago to redress the issue of the those who chose the low road – bulldoze acres and acres of seized property and build huge public housing projects, it’s only fair. And look at how many police, court officers, ER technicians, funeral directors abd cheap beer/screwtop wine stores flourished becsuse of it. Or we could just mandate that no one be allowed to earn more than x-times the income of the guy on the corner with a Windex bottle and squeegee who dropped out of school in the fifth grade.
    Accomplishment seems to be overrated.

It will be talked about more if they complain about it. 🙂

Dana Perino went to Africa with her husband and they spent time on a boat that doctors use to treat people who have no access to medical facilities. She was talking about a procedure to correct problems that women have after childbirth that are just horrendous. I wasn’t sure what they were talking about. I have never heard of those kind of problems here. I think maybe they come from this procedure. After all, once you have been torn to pieces and there is no doctor around to sew things back up, I am sure there are problems. This is from Dana Perino’s blog of the Mercy Ship.

“The patients get a new dress after their fistula surgery to celebrate the fact that they’re now healed. That morning on the ship, it was standing room only. The chaplain led the worship, the band played songs, and the patients and volunteers sang and danced. One of the songs lasted for twelve minutes — it had a good beat, and I was kind of bummed when it finished.

I was amazed that each of these women felt confident and strong enough to stand up in front of all of us with no inhibitions and give a speech — many fistula sufferers are ostracized for their condition and withdraw from society. Often they have their children taken away from them. They become broken, just shells of their former selves.

The first patient said she’d suffered from the condition for nineteen years — more than half of her life. She’d been shunned and no medical care was able to address her problem. Until the ship.”

Funny, this article doesn’t even mention the inhumane practice of FGM.

“One of the youngest in Heller’s study, a 15-year-old girl who was married off to her uncle at age 8, spent eight months selling bags of candied peanuts in order to raise enough money to pay for a taxi so she could get to a fistula center.
Such concerns are foreign concepts to most Westerners, says Dr. Lewis Wall, a professor of obstetrics and anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis. That’s because obstetric fistulas were largely eradicated from the United States by the 20th century, with strides in prenatal care and the use of cesarean section.
But pregnancy complications and childbirth are among the leading causes of death and disability for African women, Wall says.”

Fistulas are often caused by prolonged labor and other awful practices during childbirth that result in damage to the vagina, bladder, and rectum.

Sewing the portal the baby is supposed to be born through seems like it would cause a lot of these problems.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu. We pray for France, and for the safety of Marine Le Pen.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
