programcover1The inauguration of Donald Trump as America’s 45th president is the highlight of several days of celebratory events in Washington DC. Here’s a timeline of today’s events.

Inauguration Day, Friday, January 20, 2017

Morning – President Elect Donald Trump, Vice President Elect Pence and their families will attend services at St. John’s Episcopal Church, which is very near the White House.

Reportedly (on ABC tv) the minister said to the President Elect from the pulpit that “I said you would be the 45th President even before the primaries.”

Afterward, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will welcome Trump and his wife Melania to the White House for morning tea. The two couples will then travel together to the Capitol by motorcade.

9:30 am – Inauguration ceremony begins on the west front of the Capitol with musical performances.

Attendees will include members of Congress, Supreme Court justices, diplomats and the public. Notable attendees include Rosalynn Carter, Jimmy Carter, Laura Bush, George W Bush, Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton.

inauguraltheme11:30 am – “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band will begin the swearing-in ceremony, by playing “Hail to the Chief.” This has been done at every Inaugural since Jefferson’s. Prepare for shivers up your spine!

Missouri senator Roy Blunt, chair of the JCCIC, will call the assembly to order, followed by readings and the invocation by Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, the Reverend Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, and Pastor Paula White-Cain.

The Missouri State University Chorale will present a musical selection, followed by the administration of the Oath of Office to the Vice President, Michael Richard Pence, by Justice Thomas. Following is a musical selection by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Administration of the oath of office to President Donald John Trump by The Chief Justice of the United States, John Roberts, will take place at about 11:45 am, followed by the Inaugural Address by our new President!

Readings and a benediction by Rabbi Marvin Hier, Reverend Franklin Graham and Bishop Wayne T. Jackson follow the Inaugural Address.

The official inauguration ceremony will close with our National Anthem, sung by Jackie Evancho.

Afterward, in keeping with tradition, President Trump and Vice President Pence will attend the Congressional Lunch in the Capitol. The JCCIC has planned the traditional inaugural luncheon, to take place in National Statuary Hall at the Capitol. The menu for this year’s luncheon includes Maine lobster and Gulf shrimp, Seven Hills Angus beef, and chocolate soufflé and cherry vanilla ice cream for dessert.

3 pm to 5 pm – Inaugural parade. The newly minted President and Vice President make their way 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) along Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capitol to the White House, trailed by some 8,000 parade participants. They will include members of all US military branches, as well as high school and university marching bands, equestrian corps, first responders, veteran groups and even a tractor brigade.

7 pm to 11 pm – President Trump, Vice President Pence and their wives will make appearances at three official inaugural balls, two of which will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and the other at the National Building Museum. A number of semi-official and unofficial balls also will take place throughout the city.

    Für den Präsidenten der Vereinigten Staaten, alles Gute, er möge nur nicht vergessen, was Besatzung heißt und das meine Heimat nicht die BRD GmbH ist, sondern seine Verwalter hier Böses Treiben veranstalten, so gegen die HLKO die Versorgung der Besetzten, samt Familie und ohne Volksverhetzung den Krieg mit einem Friedensvertrag zu beenden! Das verlangt, nicht nur des Deutschem Volk, sondern auch Euere Ehre und Anstand, gegenüber Natur und Menschen! Wenn das nicht gelöst wird, so ist sicher, bleibt ein Krieg mit den Besetzten und da sind wir viele Völker und Länder und Nationen, nicht aus!
