Interesting, but I wonder how they are classifying “taxpayers”?
For example, because I am retired, and living on Social Security and savings, last year was the first one I didn’t pay income taxes. I did, however, pay property taxes.

Some folks classify taxpayers as people who buy Skittles because after all there is a sales tax. There is no limit to their hubris on this matter, trust me. Been there, done that.

Back in the day it was the landowner paying taxes on ‘his’ land who could vote. You’re good to go. 👍👍👍

That’s the way I look at it, but I was wondering how THEY determined who was a taxpayer and who was not.

I’ll guarantee that every town or county knew who was paying taxes on property. Even way back when.
